I most definitely had the best experience at Hennies. The staff is so so friendly, they welcomed us with open hearts and love.A big thank you to the waiter “Wilma”, you are one of a kind darling.
Lovely experience! Angelo was a friendly and attentive waiter, making us feel so welcome. The Cloverfield Shiraz was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed with great vibes. It’s also a fantastic spot for families with kids. We’ll definitely be back! 🍷✨Tip: ask for a opt out card if you don’t wanna get fined for drinking with your right hand 😂
What a great Hennies vibe!Definitely a must visit when in the area and with kids! The extended outside play and farm animal areas are fantastic to keep the little ones occupied together with the child-minders, even making additional plans for you during unpleasant weather.Our waiter Angilo was on top of his game and the local menu and wine tasting next door interests the taste buds.We’re coming back ASAP!

Families with kids (small or big) can take the drive to Robertson. The venue has an area for toddlers with a TV and ball-pit, play area suitable for them and a few animals. For the bigger kids there is a mini zipslide and obstacle course. The menu has a variety of options and the STAFF is SO friendly! Every area has an attendant for the kids and a shoutout to our waitress Fortunate for the friendly smile. Definitely going back to Hennie’s Robertson.
Marozaan was fantastic with her service. It was our first time visiting and she gave the best recommendations from the menu. We would come here again at a drop of the hat. Such a great spot!

Marion was our waitress and she was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. Hennies is a lovely pub in Robertson. A good selection of food and drinks. A real pub feel with good music and a lovely place to bring the whole family. Be sure to get a good seat outside as the pub is on a massive piece of land. A great addition to the area.

We had a reservation to watch the rugby match between Ireland and the Springboks. We were shown to our table promptly and the friendly staff were very attentive to our needs. The rugby match surely added to the lively atmosphere. We did not have a meal, but the milkshakes are exquisite!Would love to visit during daytime on my next visit…

We visited Hennies in Robertson for a quick breakfast, and it was our first time there. It’s situated on the beautiful Cloverfield Wine Farm, and we must say it’s absolutely amazing!There’s a massive outdoor play area with a jungle gym, zipline, and even an indoor play zone where friendly staff watch over and assist the kids on the equipment. They’ve even added a driving range where you can hit a few balls down the range such a nice touch!The atmosphere carries that well-known Hennies vibe, perfectly recreated here, and the staff really go the extra mile to keep that energy alive.We’ll definitely be back again. It is a fantastic spot for families, good food, and a great time all around.

We were unfortunately not happy with the service. When we got there the first time orders were wrong, a whole plate of wings were knocked over on us as the tables are too close to each other (the lady at the next table knocked our waiter).The second time we went there the hostess at the door was not very helpful. The place was super busy and about 3-4 families were waiting for tables. The hostess didn’t give us an estimated waiting time and there was not seating for the people who were waiting for tables.Although the food and the atmosphere were AMAZING… everything was unfortunately spoiled by the lack of decent service from the staff.

What a disappointment. Heard great things but what a shambles. The only positive was the beautiful playing area for the children. That was stunning.We went for an early supper. First we were told no baked potatoes as they were finished and it would take too long to make more. After the time it would have taken to cook 5 dozen more we were told no veg left. I asked how can you still serve people when you know you don’t have the ingredients. I was told they were busy cooking more for the guests to come but they had obviously run out of stock.The excuse for everything was they’ve had a very busy day.The food took hours to prepare.My daughter’s pork was so overdone and the mash & gravy cold. She asked them to warm it but it came back almost as it had gone.The 1kg pork shank for my husband arrived and as he cut into it the smell hit me It was so off! The replacement was only ready as we were leaving.Very poor management.The flooding of the restaurant causing us to move tables could have happened anywhere. Buy it was the icing on the proverbial cake as you could not go to the toilet.
We had such an amazing lunch today. The kids chicken strips were so yummy my toddler actually ate more than 1 bite. The burger patty was so fresh and yum. The Eisbein special is such good value for money and delicious. Our waiter Luhann was attentive and such a nice guy! Was funny watching people getting punished for drinking with their right hand. Kids play area was great, cocktails were yummy. All in all a great experience

I’ve been to many Hennie’s locations, and I understand this one is new, so the early hype is real. They’re still finding their feet to operate like a well-oiled machine, especially during busy times. However, waiting over 4 hours for food is far from ideal, and the overcrowding doesn’t help. Moving tables and searching for waiters adds to the frustration. It could be better, but I’m confident they’ll improve with time.
Hennie’s Robertson is a beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, which sets the right tone for a pleasant dining experience. However, the service left much to be desired. Despite being among the first to arrive, we waited an hour and a half for our food. To make matters worse, customers who arrived after us were served before we were. When our food finally did arrive, it was awkward as only half of our table received their meals, while the other half continued to wait. This lack of coordination was disappointing. On the positive side, the food itself was not bad, but the slow service and disorganization really affected the overall experience.
Hennies Robertson is a very good restaurant and a great place to take your kids. The atmosphere is amazing and it is just a good vibe. There is a petting zoo and a giant playground for your kids. The food is amazing and the service is great.
A friend and I went for coffee with our kids. The staff watched our kids on the playground and we had such a relaxing time. The first place I have been where they have staff watching the kids. The only complaint I have is that the cappucinos was very very small and not hot enough. Otherwise, would definitely visit again!
Drink was warm. Can of cooldrink sticky from other fluids. Second drink also warm. Chips was underdone with a crunch still. Medium steak was white and long dead. Music choices dont make sense. Great franchise. Hope they get this one right.
What a surprise, on arriving I could not believe my eyes, they are located on a wine farm, this is an absolute treat for a family outing. They cater for everyone, the kids can explore the outdoors play park and animal farm. The vibe is the best of the best. The food and service was excellent and they cater for all age groups and it’s value for money.We will definitely visit again. I can’t wait for our next Hennie’s Robertson experience.

First time visiting the Robertson branch, we were a group of 12 of which 4 of them were kids. First couple waited almost 90 min for a steak and pizza while the rest of us who ordered last, got our food First, after we wanted to cancel the order as it just took too long. Monique needs some training as there were no communication from her end at all. Every time she came to the table we continously needed to remind her of all the outstanding drinks and food still due to the table. A lot of products were sold out, that she appeared to be unknown of and that also took 30 minutes to get back and report.The kids had the time of their lives in the play area, well done for that.I ordered gin and tonic and after I poured the tonic in my glass I noticed it still had lipstick on it and was disgusted. Didi salvaged the situation.Before we left, The kitchen manager came to the table and apologized for the poor service and we appreciated and respected that.We will be back to give it another go, as we visited the branch in Mosselbay and we absolutely loved every aspect of that.
