Went for late lunch on mother’s day. Arrive at about 3pm. Order at about 4pm, after having a drink. Stuff we order not available. Choose something else Food arrives. They inform us, they’ll be closing soon. So we gotta gulp down our food. No extended hours on mother’s day? Closing time almost arrives. They actually start stacking tables and washing the floor around us! Meanwhile another patron lights up a joint. Stinks up the whole place. Closing time comes, the entire waiting staff stands on one side eyeing us coz they wanna leave. I get it. People wanna go home. Again, no extended hours on mother’s day? Why allow patrons to smoke weed where others are eating? If you have a bit of class and taste, go somewhere else. If loud music, weed and overall common athmosphere is your scene, Hennie’s Boksburg is your place.
Had the best breakfast for my first visit to our local Hennies just 4km away from our home was welcomed by all the friendly staff Our waiter Thulani was Awesome and Manager Damian is the best !!!Keep up the Good Service!!!

Our first time here and I am very impressed with the service and how welcome they make you feel. From the beginning, Siphiwe made us feels so comfortable and was happy to help when we needed her. The manager, Dylan was extremely friendly and has such a great personality to make anyone feel at home. The food is so good and they definitely not shy to make sure you go home with a full stomach. Will definitely come back.
We’ve now been to Hennies Boksburg more than once, and our most recent visit last night truly sealed it for us.Once again, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was buzzing, but what really stood out this time was the exceptional management. Dylan, the manager on duty, was an absolute superstar — warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone was having a great time. He went out of his way to make the evening special and turned what was already a good night into a memorable one.On a previous visit, Katlego had also been incredibly helpful in accommodating us and our daughter when the restaurant was full, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the management team at Hennies Boksburg takes pride in their service and customer experience.Overall, we’ve had consistently great food, a lively vibe, and standout management. Based on our latest experience, we’ll definitely keep coming back. Well done to Dylan and the rest of the team for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable environment.

We visited hennie’s Boksburg for the first time yesterday afternoon and it was a very wonderful time we had with my family. The food was great and thanks to the kitchen team we did not wait for anything. Drinks kept on coming as per request.The staff at the door were very welcoming. Thank you for such a great experience we had. Management team worked wonders by making sure our stay was enjoyable..Angie was a great waitress and very friendly. She made us spend almost 5k but no regrets on that one she deserves to go up. Her vibe will definitely bring us back to your doors very soon. Hopefully she will be my waitress again.Out of 10 I give you team 35 such a wonderful teamwork we experienced. Keep up the good work from Liam and family.
I’d heard that this was the new place to be eating at, so was quite excited to go to Hennies at Boksburg. We order our lunch and it looked good on arriving at the table. No sooner had my niece picked up her fork then a cockroach crawled out from under the nachos.she immediately took it back to the kitchen. The manager came to our table and apologized saying the fumigators had been out that week. I wondered whyAnother nachos was brought to her – very sloppy looking. My burger had a strange taste but I ate what I could. My niece, however, was I’ll from the next day right thru till Thursday. Vomiting, diarrhoea – she did not eat for 2 days. Never again. Sorry Hennies. But I will not be going back.
I had the Spinach and Halloumi bowl. Loved the different textures of this dish. The crispy spinach was a wonderful surprise. Cuppucino is great. The Boost smoothie was good. Thank you Adam for your excellent service, was great having a chat with you. An added bonus was the discounted carwash when your have breakfast here.

We enjoy coming to Hennies Boksburg. We have small kids and normally they are happy to play in the outside play area. However now that it is cold this is not really possible. I then discovered that the inside play area is just filled with a 3rd party rental company that rents out games for the kids to play on. Of which you have to pay R5 for every game. There is absolutely nothing else to do to in this area for the kids. Then to top this off you have to pay for the coloring book as well. I understand business is business but maybe consider your customers better, even the small ones.

When your waitress shows enthusiasm it’s already a positive, she shared what merchandise is available for sale such as sauces which I must say delicious. Unfortunately alot of the products are overpriced. The Boot of beer a great idea and the Eisbein WoW!! Had an all round great experience
What a terrible experience!!!! Myself and friends ordered food just after 12noon and by 2:30pm still had NOT received a still thing or even an excuse to why there was no food. Not only didn’t the food not arrive, we didn’t even get an apology for the late food or lack of service from a single manager (2 or more managers on duty) they decided that hiding from the table was best.. Myeslt and 2 other friend spoke to the managers however no urgency was given to helping us.. never mind half the tables where empty so being busy was not an excuse. It Will be a very long time before myself, family or friends will be back to this establishment.
Service bad, all the waiters standing by the door, If you need service only time you will see is when you drink with the wrong hand, service very bad … Food: chicken schnitzel cheese sauce full of oil same as the chips.
Hennies Boksburg, Rule #1 goes both ways….If you do not have ingredients in stock resulting in not being able to fulfil a dish as per your menu, come to your client and tell them, and offer something in its place. Keeping quiet and serving half a dish, and the clients has to ask why certain items are not on the plate is breaking Rule #1.Customer service 101!!
Best relaxing atmosphere and delicious food for any time off the day . The Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. i was there on 4 October 2024 at about 4 o clock in the afternoon and ordered the chicken and bacon stack , it took a couple of minutes and the food arrived and we said hell the service is quick quite pleased about thatThen the surprise , the chicken was dry it felt that it was prepared for lunch not freshly preparedwill not talk about the rest of the foodi am very disappointed with food as i had heard such great reports regarding the food BOKSBURG BRANCH

Today we visited hennies for the rugby, SA vs NZ.The atmosphere was incredible! The staff were lovely ! Our waitress elesse was pleasant, lovely and quick considering the amount of people that were there ! Thulani had an incredible sence of humour and all round a lovely experience! The house rules are my Favourite! Don’t be a D**s , only drink with the left hand (best rule, I watched the patrons carefully make sure their left hand was used ) and standing during the national anthem added to the enjoyment !Cocktails were great !Highly recommended and I’ll be back !Make sure you too well and have change for the lovely car guard he too was lovely. As a safety officer, minor hazards were identified BUT nothing else to fault !!
Our first time a a Hennies franchise and it was awesome.Food is very good and the service even better.All the staff was friendly and accommodating.The vibe is awesome, it is a fun place to be.Prices are fair for the drinks and food, they also have nice specials.Will definitely be back soon
My first time at Hennie’s in Boksburg. What an amazing experience!! The place was packed full of people all watching rugby and still the service was without any delays. The food was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back for more. Absolute 10/10 💯

Our waitress Menaldi welcomed us with a warm smile and made sure that we were well taken of and new her menu very well. We will definitely be back and hopefully get Menaldi at our table again.
Awesome food, fantastic vibe. Love all the rules. Only thing I would like to see change is to allow dogs in the outside area: 1. Hennies is attached to a pet shop and 2. Hennies is literally a dog. Makes sense to allow well behaved pets in the outside area (even if you have to arrange beforehand)
We made a quick stop to grap something quick to eat. It was relatively busy so early. If you don’t like loud, then this is not the place for you. Dj played music, there is a kids play area and unfortunately there is a bit of stairs up and down, not making it accessible for disabled people and parents with prams. I liked the atmosphere, the food was great, with great portion size. We had nachos to share and fully loaded fries.
Absolutely amazing experience especially if you on a solo date and just need time out. Perfect place to just relax and enjoy a drink. Service is excellent Aneleda is one of the friendly waitresses who served me the entire time I was there and I must say it was a 10/10 . Prices on their food and drinks are absolutely affordable 👌 highly recommended. Thank you Aneleda I will surely be back because of the amazing service 🙂

They were so helpful with creating a “special” meal for me due to food allergies. The portion was generous and the food tasted absolutely incredible! 10/10 would recommend Hennie’s Boksburg.

We ordered 3 portions of wings just plain wings. It was extremely dry and the amount of seasoning salt was overwhelming, there crumb mushrooms were not cooked properly and the waiter wasn’t really interested in our table and we were only 4 people at the table, he was more interested in the bigger tables. And yet I tipped over R300 to him.
A nice little place in the heart of Boksburg, Clean and well staffed. The only issue we had was the pizza we ordered had a slurry as a topping. Literally needed a spoon to eat that pizza. Took it home and gave it to our always-willing-to-eat-everything dog. The rest of the food is okay but the pricing is a bit whack.
Amazing dining experience! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service, super tasty food! Very authentic South African experience! Thank you to the staff that made our day special, for all the epic merch and to the wonderful puppy minder that entertained our son and kept a watchful eye on him. This is for the noise crew. Vibe is awesome. Food is fair price is good. I will definitely suggest that if you put a 🌶️ sauce on the table ad some chillies in it the food is tasty and well made. Burger was fresh and the pizza was delicious.The service was as good as it was expected on a Friday night the waitress can put an evert in to look happy.The lady at the door is awesome friendly and was able to remember me even though I have only been there once before great work.If you feel like having a night out with your friends I will definitely say go ahead and have a great time.All in all a nice place definitely will return

This can easily become a regular stop for me. Awesome vibe and atmosphere, perfect menu, reasonably priced and sufficient play area for the kids. Service just requires attention. I literally ran dry with every round and waited long for a refill.

We went as a big group, understandably they are very busy and we had a long wait for food and drinks.One person ordered mushrooms as a starter and they “forgot” to prepare them.Two of us ordered the pork chop special and about 20 minutes after we had placed the main meal order, we were told that they were out of stock.When the bill arrived the pork chops were still on the bill….The chicken wings were dry, and we will definitely not order them again.Other than that, the atmosphere is really good.
Great place with very good food and worth the price. Music is not so loud you can’t hear anyone. Great atmosphere , will definitely recommend this place. Only thing that I can say is that they are very busy and they work on a first come first serve basis.

The eisbein was tender and juicy with a crisp skin. Perfection. Had to take half home as it was huge. Dinner the next day.. 😋

It was our 3rd visit to Hennie’s on Monday night. Had the best pizza in Boksburg. Went back to Hennie’s on Tuesday night, hoping for the same pizza. Sent it back twice. It arrived cold. Asked to be put back in the oven and came back cold again. Disappointed.
Had a fantastic time there , really great vibe and atmosphere there , restaurant is always pumping out delicious food which is a great thing . Staff was great … do be sure to follow house rules , specially rule 4 because the waghonde are watching 😂

The staff are have no clue what is going on here ! We get told it’s dog friendly by 2 staff as well as pet masters above the restaurant! To only sit down and order food and then the manager tells us it’s not pet friendly ? Does his staff not know the rules , don’t tell someone it’s dog friendly more than once and then complain.The service is also terribly slow.

This place is nice !! Well layed out, ample seating with friendly staff.. large smoking area with large non smoking aswel. Indoor and outdoor kiddies area wich is a huge plus for parents with kids. Everyday affordable specials. Just remember the 1st rule !!!!

We enjoy coming to Hennies Boksburg. We have small kids and normally they are happy to play in the outside play area. However now that it is cold this is not really possible. I then discovered that the inside play area is just filled with a 3rd party rental company that rents out games for the kids to play on. Of which you have to pay R5 for every game. There is absolutely nothing else to do to in this area for the kids. Then to top this off you have to pay for the coloring book as well. I understand business is business but maybe consider your customers better, even the small ones.

What a great place with delicious food and decently priced.Am not there for drinking games (Buffalo) so they gave me an exclusion token on a lanyard. Rather leave that rule for younger patrons.All dishes ordered by my party looked delicious
Only giving a poor review due to false informationWe phoned this morning just to make sure that hennies allows dogs (Google confirms that it is a pet friendly restaurant)The person i spoke to said ‘Yes Of Course We Allow Dogs!’We drove from heidelburg because they allow doggiesWe got to the door and we were told there was no chance we will be allowed in with a dogThere is a massive sign that says ‘Pups Welcome’ on the wall as you walk in… FALSE ADVERTISEMENTSo of course i got angry, if they had told me on the phone this morning that dogs are not allowed, i would have saved myself a 45 minute driveSo the people that work with the phones actually dont know anything about the place they are working for which is very scarySurely if you work somewhere you should know if dogs are allowed or not?😂Very good food and awesome atmosphere!
When your waitress shows enthusiasm it’s already a positive, she shared what merchandise is available for sale such as sauces which I must say delicious. Unfortunately alot of the products are overpriced. The Boot of beer a great idea and the Eisbein WoW!! Had an all round great experience
What a terrible experience!!!! Myself and friends ordered food just after 12noon and by 2:30pm still had NOT received a still thing or even an excuse to why there was no food. Not only didn’t the food not arrive, we didn’t even get an apology for the late food or lack of service from a single manager (2 or more managers on duty) they decided that hiding from the table was best.. Myeslt and 2 other friend spoke to the managers however no urgency was given to helping us.. never mind half the tables where empty so being busy was not an excuse. It Will be a very long time before myself, family or friends will be back to this establishment.
Service bad, all the waiters standing by the door, If you need service only time you will see is when you drink with the wrong hand, service very bad … Food: chicken schnitzel cheese sauce full of oil same as the chips.
Hennies Boksburg, Rule #1 goes both ways….If you do not have ingredients in stock resulting in not being able to fulfil a dish as per your menu, come to your client and tell them, and offer something in its place. Keeping quiet and serving half a dish, and the clients has to ask why certain items are not on the plate is breaking Rule #1.Customer service 101!!
Best relaxing atmosphere and delicious food for any time off the day . The Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. And its so good family friendly restaurant’s that you must go there to experience it for your self. HENNIE’S YOU ARE THE TOP OFF ALL . I give you many year’s off Blessed year’s forward.
i was there on 4 October 2024 at about 4 o clock in the afternoon and ordered the chicken and bacon stack , it took a couple of minutes and the food arrived and we said hell the service is quick quite pleased about thatThen the surprise , the chicken was dry it felt that it was prepared for lunch not freshly preparedwill not talk about the rest of the foodi am very disappointed with food as i had heard such great reports regarding the food BOKSBURG BRANCH

Excellent establishment for any occasion. Food, service, prices, atmosphere all on point! We frequent the Benoni branch but thoroughly enjoyed this branch. More spacious, same experience. Kudos to Owner/s and management of this brand.
Today we visited hennies for the rugby, SA vs NZ.The atmosphere was incredible! The staff were lovely ! Our waitress elesse was pleasant, lovely and quick considering the amount of people that were there ! Thulani had an incredible sence of humour and all round a lovely experience! The house rules are my Favourite! Don’t be a D**s , only drink with the left hand (best rule, I watched the patrons carefully make sure their left hand was used ) and standing during the national anthem added to the enjoyment !Cocktails were great !Highly recommended and I’ll be back !Make sure you too well and have change for the lovely car guard he too was lovely. As a safety officer, minor hazards were identified BUT nothing else to fault !!
Our first time a a Hennies franchise and it was awesome.Food is very good and the service even better.All the staff was friendly and accommodating.The vibe is awesome, it is a fun place to be.Prices are fair for the drinks and food, they also have nice specials.Will definitely be back soon
My first time at Hennie’s in Boksburg. What an amazing experience!! The place was packed full of people all watching rugby and still the service was without any delays. The food was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back for more. Absolute 10/10 💯

Our waitress Menaldi welcomed us with a warm smile and made sure that we were well taken of and new her menu very well. We will definitely be back and hopefully get Menaldi at our table again.
Awesome food, fantastic vibe. Love all the rules. Only thing I would like to see change is to allow dogs in the outside area: 1. Hennies is attached to a pet shop and 2. Hennies is literally a dog. Makes sense to allow well behaved pets in the outside area (even if you have to arrange beforehand)
We made a quick stop to grap something quick to eat. It was relatively busy so early. If you don’t like loud, then this is not the place for you. Dj played music, there is a kids play area and unfortunately there is a bit of stairs up and down, not making it accessible for disabled people and parents with prams. I liked the atmosphere, the food was great, with great portion size. We had nachos to share and fully loaded fries.
Absolutely amazing experience especially if you on a solo date and just need time out. Perfect place to just relax and enjoy a drink. Service is excellent Aneleda is one of the friendly waitresses who served me the entire time I was there and I must say it was a 10/10 . Prices on their food and drinks are absolutely affordable 👌 highly recommended. Thank you Aneleda I will surely be back because of the amazing service 🙂
A fun place to go to. Service was good, as well as the atmosphere. Would have liked a little more variety on the menu, but what we were served at the times we were there was good. On the regular list for us.
They were so helpful with creating a “special” meal for me due to food allergies. The portion was generous and the food tasted absolutely incredible! 10/10 would recommend Hennie’s Boksburg.
The food portions are generous and well priced. Our waiter Charles went out of his way. Definitely worth the visit.
We ordered 3 portions of wings just plain wings. It was extremely dry and the amount of seasoning salt was overwhelming, there crumb mushrooms were not cooked properly and the waiter wasn’t really interested in our table and we were only 4 people at the table, he was more interested in the bigger tables. And yet I tipped over R300 to him.
A nice little place in the heart of Boksburg, Clean and well staffed. The only issue we had was the pizza we ordered had a slurry as a topping. Literally needed a spoon to eat that pizza. Took it home and gave it to our always-willing-to-eat-everything dog. The rest of the food is okay but the pricing is a bit whack.
Amazing dining experience! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service, super tasty food! Very authentic South African experience! Thank you to the staff that made our day special, for all the epic merch and to the wonderful puppy minder that entertained our son and kept a watchful eye on him. Would love to go there again soon before heading back to NZ. Thanks again! 🎉
Our waitress Ellesse served us promptly and with a smile. She checked on us regularly and the food was delicious, generous portions. We left with full bellies and lunch for tomorrow too!

This is for the noise crew. Vibe is awesome. Food is fair price is good. I will definitely suggest that if you put a 🌶️ sauce on the table ad some chillies in it the food is tasty and well made. Burger was fresh and the pizza was delicious.The service was as good as it was expected on a Friday night the waitress can put an evert in to look happy.The lady at the door is awesome friendly and was able to remember me even though I have only been there once before great work.If you feel like having a night out with your friends I will definitely say go ahead and have a great time.All in all a nice place definitely will return
Awesome quick lunch. Staff were great, food was amazing and the “puppy” minder made it amazing just to let my wife and I have a quick bite and let our child play safely. With the heat the play area might need shade but otherwise perfect! Thanks for rocking it Hennies!
This can easily become a regular stop for me. Awesome vibe and atmosphere, perfect menu, reasonably priced and sufficient play area for the kids. Service just requires attention. I literally ran dry with every round and waited long for a refill.

We went as a big group, understandably they are very busy and we had a long wait for food and drinks.One person ordered mushrooms as a starter and they “forgot” to prepare them.Two of us ordered the pork chop special and about 20 minutes after we had placed the main meal order, we were told that they were out of stock.When the bill arrived the pork chops were still on the bill….The chicken wings were dry, and we will definitely not order them again.Other than that, the atmosphere is really good.
Great place with very good food and worth the price. Music is not so loud you can’t hear anyone. Great atmosphere , will definitely recommend this place. Only thing that I can say is that they are very busy and they work on a first come first serve basis.

Had a burger and fries which was really great and tasty. Great service and friendly staff, but the whistle blowing for breaking one of the “rules” gets annoying after awhile, especially as more clients arrive and tables are filled
The eisbein was tender and juicy with a crisp skin. Perfection. Had to take half home as it was huge. Dinner the next day.. 😋
Even when very busy we where served quickly with our drinks and regular updates about our food order. Best staff and I enjoyed everyones friendlyness
We came to eat as a family of 3 , we waited 15 minutes for drinks after a half hour no one took our food order We actually walked out to eat somewhere else . If you are VERY patient this is the place Sorry not for me poor service disconnected me from this place Good luck for this business

Pathetic….food , service non existent. Food came to the table cold, sent back took another 20 minutes to get back. ( only half of the people’s food though) Waiter missing, have to try and catch one of the many managers standing around doing nothing attention..
It was our 3rd visit to Hennie’s on Monday night. Had the best pizza in Boksburg. Went back to Hennie’s on Tuesday night, hoping for the same pizza. Sent it back twice. It arrived cold. Asked to be put back in the oven and came back cold again. Disappointed.
Had a fantastic time there , really great vibe and atmosphere there , restaurant is always pumping out delicious food which is a great thing . Staff was great … do be sure to follow house rules , specially rule 4 because the waghonde are watching 😂

The food was cold when eventually received. We had 3 different waiters serve us. Compared to Mossel Bay, they are not on par.
The staff are have no clue what is going on here ! We get told it’s dog friendly by 2 staff as well as pet masters above the restaurant! To only sit down and order food and then the manager tells us it’s not pet friendly ? Does his staff not know the rules , don’t tell someone it’s dog friendly more than once and then complain.The service is also terribly slow.

This place is nice !! Well layed out, ample seating with friendly staff.. large smoking area with large non smoking aswel. Indoor and outdoor kiddies area wich is a huge plus for parents with kids. Everyday affordable specials. Just remember the 1st rule !!!!
