Excellent lunchtime visit to this quirky bar. A big dining area indoor and outdoors. Nice food at reasonable prices. Many screens to follow sports in all areas. The bar has a number of rules that make an interesting visit even more interesting, left hand beer drinking only! Staff friendly and good fun. Worth a visit when there is a big sporting event on if you want a great atmosphere.
Absolute fantastic service from Eric the manager. Knows alot about the menu and best specials. Made the whole experience a pleasure, knows how to take good care of customers. Thank you Eric. And thank you Lulama your waiting on tables was phenomenal, very active and didn’t need to call for you once. Such care for your customers doesn’t come often and added to the overall enjoyment to the experience.
Best service I’ve had in a while. We go primarily for the Golf on Tap and let me tell you, it’s the best date night since sliced bread! We have so much fun and the staff are incredible! Massive shout out to Byron, Mpho and Lulama! They honestly treat us like royalty and are the reason we are back every week! The drinks are incredible but the people make it the best!

Instead, in a surprisingly quick 15-20 minutes, our food arrived—and it was absolutely perfect! He immediately shared the specials with us, explained the merchandise in detail, and pointed out the play area—which was perfect for keeping our little one entertained. Waited a long time to be served. We were the first clients at 9h50 and was told that because we are the first everything takes a while to heat up first. Waited a long time for our food. Whistled for service, but no one came. Really disappointed, was our first time, but will never go there again
Hennies Silverlakes offers a fantastic atmosphere that’s both lively and chatty, making it a great spot to unwind with friends. The food is quite good, although a bit on the expensive side for a pub setting. One notable positive is the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which is always appreciated.However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The table menus are noticeably dirty, and the tables themselves are sticky, which can detract from the overall dining experience.Overall, while the vibe and the quality of the food are commendable, attention to cleanliness, especially of the tables and menus, would greatly enhance the experience.
Hennie’s is a great average place, with incredible franchise success, nationwide – respected, this is exactly what they are going for. For Ubereats however, keeping high prices and serious competition in mind, I cannot recommend this. Average quality and very small portions for the price. Nevertheless, lekker place and we’ll keep supporting across our proud nation.

A restaurant near Silver Lakes that doesn’t take itself too seriously – or does it? It has its own “rules”: If you drink with your right hand, you have to drink the glass in one go. The first rule is: no fooling allowed. Being friendly is mandatory. Sounds strict, but it’s wonderfully silly. The place looks like an oversized US warehouse, filled with every variation of “cheese loaded” and “nacho whatever”. Huge, loud, American to the point of pain. The food is surprisingly good. The service was friendly, as required. Sure, it’s in an industrial park (where else here?), but for food and fun it gets 5 out of 5 stars.
Burgers and Steaks are goodNice Atmosphere, especially when there are live musical performances and when there’s sports such as Rugby 🏉 to get together and watch the game and enjoy a few cold ones from their variety of drinks options
Pizza could have been cooked longer as the base was still soft. The place ran out of serviettes and ice cream. But other than that, great place to watch sports.

First messed up my takeaway order, and then proceeded to give me the most subpar wings I can recall having, which is really disappointing, as I’ve had the wings before and loved them. Also, please don’t call something a braai broodjie if it has never touched a braai, that’s just a toasted sandwich, and I don’t appreciate it.
It was a very inviting venue and the staff were very efficient, food was delicious and drinks were never empty. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Had a nice family lunch at Hennie’s with my mom and dad. Had great food and drink. The Smokey Joe burger was excellent, especially with the Hond Lager. Even got a nice shirt. Officially one of the dogs now.
Wednesday SpecialPizza and Coctails – 50% on selected itemsMy wife and I had the Inge pizza – Bacon, avo and feta.Coctails – I had Hennies iced team and my wife had the Hennies sex on the beach.Food and coctails highly recomendable.Service was slightly under par – we had to ask for drinks wich took for ever to come to the table, I eventually stood up and went to the bar to find the manager at the bar pushing the barmen to rush the drinks instead of helping them.Recommendation: Teach the waiters to attend to the tables and ask managers for help.Will go back to see if we can improve on the stars

Went there for date night, I ordered a beer and my girlfriend ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. Took 20 minutes for my beer and it was warm, and my partner’s daiquiri took 35-40ish minutes, (it was not a busy evening) when we got it, there was a beard hair (Im hoping it was from a beard) so we returned it and then waited another 20 minutes.Food was delicious, but also took forever to get to us, I was effectively done with my chicken schnitzel (which was massive to their credit) when her pizza arrived.Overall an extremely disappointing evening at a place I really wanted to enjoy, it was hard on the wallet, and hard on the stomach.

Good vibe, but bad service. And don’t be fooled by the times. Kitchen closes at 21:00.We arrived at 8:45, and staff had already packed up a section of the restaurant. Then your waiter will hover over your shoulder, both to get your order in and to sort out your bill. And while you’re eating, they’ll start packing up tables around you. Really got the feeling they didn’t want us there…21:30 on a Thursday night. Info says they close at 12 pm…Staff are not very well trained; reaching over you to grab plates, hovering, and just a bad attitude.Really disappointing experience, especially in comparison to the other joints.

I was fortunate to be taken here by my brother earlier for a quick breakfast. I have never been to one of their restaurants before. It is a great place, everyone is very friendly and the waitress that served us today was charming and funny.This made me feel right at home being my first visit. They have a panel of whacky fun rules, like drinking with your right hand etc, which adds to the fun branding they represent. The burger I ordered was very tasty, and so were the chips. They have quite a variety of meals you can order, even jalapeno poppers and haloumi cheese sticks are on the menu. They have 2 great in-house sauces, which you can purchase – the Chilli and the Peri-Peri – both very flavourful, and I ended up buying the chilli Sauce for home. If you haven’t already gone here give it a go.

This place is pumped with a vibe…The waiter Mike actually caught me drinking with my right hand which was fun to down my gin special (Baffalo). Jonas our server is amazing he is so on it and friendly give this man a BELLS or something to make him aware of his great service…. I’m honestly impressed with this Hennies. Good vibe, but bad service. And don’t be fooled by the times. Kitchen closes at 21:00.We arrived at 8:45, and staff had already packed up a section of the restaurant. Then your waiter will hover over your shoulder, both to get your order in and to sort out your bill. And while you’re eating, they’ll start packing up tables around you. Really got the feeling they didn’t want us there…21:30 on a Thursday night. Info says they close at 12 pm…Staff are not very well trained; reaching over you to grab plates, hovering, and just a bad attitude.Really disappointing experience, especially in comparison to the other joints.

I was fortunate to be taken here by my brother earlier for a quick breakfast. I have never been to one of their restaurants before. It is a great place, everyone is very friendly and the waitress that served us today was charming and funny.This made me feel right at home being my first visit. They have a panel of whacky fun rules, like drinking with your right hand etc, which adds to the fun branding they represent. The burger I ordered was very tasty, and so were the chips. They have quite a variety of meals you can order, even jalapeno poppers and haloumi cheese sticks are on the menu. They have 2 great in-house sauces, which you can purchase – the Chilli and the Peri-Peri – both very flavourful, and I ended up buying the chilli Sauce for home. If you haven’t already gone here give it a go.
Someting different. Nice but not my personal preference. Service not up to standard due to unavailability of drinks that is shown on the menu. Also not listening to an order and then ran back to complete the asked order.Quality and size of portions are good and well prepared.
Very great first experience at Hennies. Amazing food and really on point service, I’d highly recommend for a chilled atmosphere and great food. Thanks to our waiter Martin who was the most awesome host. I’d highly recommend the ribs and eisbein.

This place is pumped with a vibe…The waiter Mike actually caught me drinking with my right hand which was fun to down my gin special (Baffalo). Jonas our server is amazing he is so on it and friendly give this man a BELLS or something to make him aware of his great service…. I’m honestly impressed with this Hennies. JONAS you’re spot on my man.

Great place to view major sports, big screen tv’s everywhere. Nice food and atmosphere. Reasonably-priced food.
Kids had a lekker time,Mother in law had a good time 😉 and love her meal. That was lekker good time for a sunday meal for Family outing. Love the pap and tbone was good times. Family had a lovely time out and watching the sport preping for the rugby.
