We had the best waitress in Upington her name is Andrea she really knows what she is doing and she is great at it she had to keep up with a really big crowd and she kept her head I really appreciate everything she did for us she was friendly and very professional at her job I rate her a 11 out of 10 thank you Andrea you were great 👍
We were seated at the bottom deck and the gentleman serving us was awesome. We did not wait for drinks or food.I’m from the the Free State, but I will most definitely ask for Ashley to serve us again… what a gentleman and understand hoe to treat a person with respect.
What an interesting experience! The waitress Angel was sure to explain the process to us.We tried a little bit of everything, from starters to mains and drinks. Everyone had their favourite from Kaijings to Vark Hondjie. For me it was the pap & sheba.
It was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we celebrated it at Hennies❤️the food, the atmosphere and service was AMAZING!! Keep up the good work Hennies Upington!!

Hennies Upington ticks all the boxes! Service is on point, and the deck view of the Orange River is pure magic. Lots of specials to try, but I stick to the sliders — they’re awesome 😋. A must-visit for a vibe and great food in Upington. Will be back for that view again 👍
I know the Managers by name and some of the waiters, the staff is always friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile. Excellent food and excellent location overlooking the Orange River. A must when visiting Upington. Food and alcohol is reasonably priced
Our waiters, Jo Marie and Angel, were amazing! Within less than 10 minutes, my food was on the table. I never had to ask for anything twice — everything was quick, accurate, and efficient. The service was excellent, and both were extremely friendly. This was my first time at Hennies, and it was such a pleasant experience. We’re from Tzaneen, about 1,400 km away, and unfortunately, we don’t have a Hennies there. Hopefully, one opens soon — we’d definitely be regulars!

Got to lay back and just have fun encounter with the stuff and I love the the Hennie’s rules , they make one feel like part of the crew and fun. Had great service from an awesome Sinovuyo who gave us attention, proper attention and assistance with recommendation of the in house special menu. Enjoyed the Gladiator well planned meal….
This is such a fun restaurant, I’ve never been in one before because there are so many restaurants to pick from in Gauteng. Driving back from Namibia we ended up in a Hennies in Upington and its such a fun place to be in, staff are friendly and the food is fantastic.We were served by Sinivoyo, such a bubbly energetic server. She give us tips on which specials to try out, which we did and they were fantastic.Next time I’m in town, I’m definitely coming back here.Thank you Sinovuyo!!!
Food was great, pizza was amazing.. waiters are friendly and are not hasty.. also nice and quiet as well as busy, amazing place to either drink a few beers, or sit with your family. Overall amazing restaurant. Thank you Shanel for the amazing service and the floor manager Cameron for keeping the vibe alive

It was my first time at Hennie’s and my last. The service was very disappointing, not what I expected. Our food was served cold , my colleague ordered a medium steak, but got a well done. It was send back 2 times, she waited and wasn’t even asked if she wanted something else. After that it was removed from the bill but we didn’t even know about it. Very disappointing.
Food was average.. service was good, cocktails below average. I wish Hennie’s could just have a standard across their branches. Some hit and some miss.
I’m not coming back. Had to send my steak back twice, ordered a medium steak and got it well done every time. I was not informed that my steak is taken from the bill, never got asked if I wanted anything else. In comparison with my 1st time at hennies, this was real real bad.
Hennies is a great place with the best atmosphere in town. Our waiter Jaycee was very helpfull and helps me every time I am there. Overall a wonderfull experience

What a great vibe! I just went for a beer and got the jalapeño poppers as well which were some of the best poppers I have ever had! I will definitely be recommending!
My recent visit to this Hennie’s was highly disappointing. The waitstaff were unprofessional with poor attitudes, and service was slow. We were moved to another table, only for the manager to ask us to return so they could seat other guests. Having visited many Hennie’s across South Africa, this experience was far below the usual standard. I hope these issues are addressed for future patrons.

What an experience! It was my partner’s first time at a Hennie’s and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent and right in our taste. The drink options are a lot, which is great for someone who enjoys trying new cocktails. Our waiter, Jaycee, was very attentive and helpful. He put as at ease, checked on us regularly and answered questions before I could even ask. Would totally go again!

Parking is abit of a problem but not a big concern. Waiter came to take drink order quickley but waited about 30min and no waiter returned to take any food order. At the top area of restaurant there is 8 waiters just standing around.
Lelanie was our waiter and she was there every now and then to make sure if we wanted to drink something or eat something and overall she is an amazing person ,even cracked a joke or two to make us feel the vibe ,definitely coming back soon…keep up the good work lelanie🥳🥳
