Absolutely loved the vibe! Great place, great people! Definitely recommend checking it out 🙂 we arrived to watch the rugby, they have screens everywhere😎 very easy to watch the game no matter where you sit.
We had our daughter’s 3rd birthday party at Hennies Paarl and WOW. They really went all out. Great service, great food, and they do so much effort with kids birthday parties. Would recommend 100%.
Great experience at the bar! 🍻 The beer was excellent and the food was really tasty. The service was also very good — our waitress Gaynor was friendly and took great care of us. Everything from the drinks to the food was perfect. We are visiting from India 🇮🇳 and truly enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for good beer, delicious food, and great service! 😊
Best vibes while eating.I was so thirsty they told me to drink more — even gave me a whistle 😂Only later I realized I was getting penalties for drinking with the wrong hand. All good fun, great spirit!Hennie’s PaarlBest manager: Werner 🙌
If you’re looking for a place where the music is loud, the “bokkie” shots are flowing, and the vibe is more infectious than a toddler’s cold, you’ve hit the jackpot. Hennies Paarl isn’t just a bar; it’s a high-octane social experiment in the heart of the Winelands.Best waiter/manager Werries!!
It is also a very popular spot in the area, where you can meet new friends. It has a well-designed terrace for dining, attentive service, and is an ideal place to share with friends, have a drink and enjoy yourself. Highly recommended.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Jorja made our entire experience at Hennies exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her menu knowledge was spot-on, her recommendations were perfect, and she timed everything flawlessly without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find a waiter who balances professionalism with such a friendly, easygoing attitude, but Jorja absolutely nailed it. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, and it truly elevated our visit. If you’re dining at Hennies, ask for Jorja—you won’t be disappointed
We had a lovely lunch before the cricket at Hennies Paarl. We sat outside, so nice and cool under the trees even in very hot weather! First time at a Hennies and was actually quite hesitant to go due to their left hand drinking rule 🫣 but the way our waitress Amber explained everything and had such a fun attitude in how she spoke with us, what fun!!!! I loved my nachos! Werner, the manager was also great. Will def go again to a Hennies. Hopefully they are all like this experience.
What a lovely experience! I stopped in while waiting for my car to charge and was immediately welcomed with genuine warmth from several staff members. Ethan, my waiter, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and efficient. The whole team created such a positive vibe. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively, fun, and inviting. I’d absolutely recommend Hennies to anyone looking for a great breakfast, a few drinks, or simply delicious food in a cheerful setting!
We had such an awesome time at Hennie’s! Our server Jacquine was absolutely fantastic — super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She had a great vibe, kept the energy fun, and honestly made the whole experience even better. Big shoutout to Jacquine for the amazing service — you’re a star! 🌟 Definitely coming back again. 👏🔥
Hennie’s is the place to be. Great atmosphere with the house rules that makes things fun and entertaining. Ask for Zane to get the full experience at this amazing place. With great food and drink you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend for everyone and all ages. And the best thing is your kids will be safe as you relax and have a drink (with your left hand).
We had such an amazing experience at Hennies thanks to our incredible waiter, Gaynor. From the moment we sat down, Gaynor made us feel completely at home — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure everything was perfect. She knew the menu inside out, gave great recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find someone who brings such warmth, energy, and professionalism all at once!Gaynor turned a regular meal into an unforgettable experience — the kind of service that keeps you coming back. Hennies is lucky to have her on the team!
We had an incredible experience thanks to Delia! She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our visit special. Her amazing service and warm personality truly made the evening enjoyable — definitely a reason for us to come back!Ashaan was truly amazing with the kids. My wife and I really enjoyed watching her interact with them — you can see she’s passionate about her job and loves what she does. Both Delia and Ashaan made our visit an absolute pleasure!
Such a great place, super chilled and relaxing sitting outside. Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. We were welcomed by Beyonche who was lovely and our waiter was Brooklyn – one of the friendliest and most sincere waiters we’ve ever had. He made the afternoon even more enjoyable and kept checking up and chatting with us. We had pizzas and cocktails which were great – pizza toppings were so generous which is rare! Would highly recommend this place. The only thing… adding a 10% gratuity to all bills is a bit cheeky though. Service was worth 20% but tips are discretionary and shouldn’t just be added. Otherwise, would return when in Paarl again.
Such a lovely spot for kids! I had no idea it was here. Babsie was our waitress who was so sweet, friendly and efficient. They have a big variety on the menu, including traditional South African meals, and a really nice kids menu. We’ll be coming back often!
Went to Paarl branch and was informed they not dog friendly, but we did Google search and Paarl came up as dog friendly and as far as we know that is what Hennie”s is all about. Staff member was scared of our 5 month old mini schnauzers – this does not project well for this establishment .
Hennie’s Paarl: Vibrant Hotspot with Unforgettable Atmosphere!Stepping into Hennie’s instantly lifted our spirits! The playful “house rules” and energetic vibe create an experience that goes beyond just a drinks spot. Their Wednesday half-price cocktails special is absolute genius – some of the most refreshing drinks in the Winelands!Zairean’s impeccable service was the absolute highlight of our visit – attentive, personable, and going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The layout brilliantly accommodates both social gatherings and sports enthusiasts with 20 TVs strategically placed throughout. Whether meeting friends for casual drinks or catching the game, Hennie’s delivers the perfect blend of fantastic atmosphere and authentic local charm. A true Paarl gem!
We visited Hennie’s in Paarl for the second time, excited to return after a fantastic first experience. The vibe was lekker, and our waitress last time was on top of her game, making sure we were well taken care of.Unfortunately, this past Sunday was a disappointment. We stopped by for a drink to cool down, but our waiter was slow and seemed out of it — almost like he’d had a late night. After asking for the bill, we eventually had to go looking for him because he never showed up, and this wasn’t even during a busy time.We really hope the service improves on our next visit because good service shouldn’t only be reserved for big sporting events when the place is packed. It should be the standard, no matter what.Looking forward to a better experience next time!
What a gem! Today was our first time at Hennie’s and definitely not the last. We were there for the half price pizza and cocktails on a Wednesday. The pizza was to die for and the cocktails refreshing and perfect for the Paarl summer heat. Our waitress, Beyonche, was a delight, friendly and witty and exactly what you want in a waitress. I got a fright when a random whistle was blown a few feet away till I realized it’s part of their “rules” to boost the fun and make things a little different. The menu in general has quite a few items that sounds absolutely mouthwatering and the names of the dishes are fun and funny. The manager, Werner, made a turn at our table as well to check in and make sure we are happy with our orders and service. Can’t wait for my next visit
Loved this place. Kids had a blast. The food was amazing and the lady who served us was very friendly.
Good food and drinks. Value for money. Main areas are more for younger crowds but the food was delicious. Also have a saperate area for parents and kids so nice balance. Waiters know their stuff. Will definitely be back.
First time at Hennies Paarl, just came from them and was serviced by Gaynor as the waiter.Everything started off well and we were seated nicely at our table of choice. Had a good time.Ordered our drinks before any meals. Drinks came on time. Food came as expected. My Lady ordered a cocktail and it took longer than expected almost 30 minutes.Waiter came (Gaynor) saying they short staff etc. Waiters didn’t pitch for shift it’s festive she explained trying to give reason as to why thy are short staff. Yet business Continues as normal. Not a manager / supervisor it sight trying to cover tables and help. 2 waiters running in between 11 tables. To top it off the total bill for 2 people came down to R452.Bill said 10% added to total cost for waiters tip.It also stated the following :”if you not happy with the service you may remove it”Well out of generosity I made the full total R490 which I felt was fair at the time. They waiter Gaynor asked me why?Am I not happy with the service ?I replied:I’m happy with your sevice, but not the business because she was friendly enough. But what topped it off the waiter (Gaynor) told me that she has to now pay in a R13 because the bill was R503 including her 10% tip which I feel she don’t deserve or at least the business and for having a damn attitude.A tip is not a must…. Why did Gaynor the waiter have to tell me she now has to pay in R13….?????If I wanted to be “a doos” I would have not tipped her at all. I still tipped her eventhou she took years to serve us with drinks. Checked once if we okayTo be honest I won’t go there again.HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. I AWLAYS TIP I EVEN TIPPED AT NEDERBERG wine estate your neighbours.Such attitude will cost you your business.Stop running skeleton staff so that your profit margin is higher but staff are overworked in this festive period.Demanding tips no ways.
We were there in April 2024 and loved every second of it. Went there on 29 December and we are shocked about the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the bathrooms and overall place. It is definitely not up to standard.
I met some friends there. I love it Gaynor the waitress was brilliant. All the staff and management team was friendly. It is highly recommended.
Gina’s warm presence, infectious energy, and top-notch service made our dining and kuier experience unforgettable. She truly cares for her customers and engages with them effortlessly. With her talent and dedication, she would be an asset to any business. Don’t miss a chance to meet her!
Gina was exceptional and provided us the best atmosphere to enjoy our afternoon/evening. Her personality was welcoming and made us feel welcome the entire evening. She is an asset to the team and Hennie’s brand. Top notch!
Niki, is the best waiter we have ever had in all of the restaurants we have visited. The way she have talked and served us was really amazing. Thank you Hennies for taking Niki in as a waiter. I think this person is the best person you have recuited
Today we are back and not all so well atleast the kids had some fun today in the play area, service was slow our order in complete and the food was not as expected father in law steak was med well done and not med rare , ordered 2 dbl kiddie burgers and only received one, only after all recieved there food the waiter did admin that she only entered one kiddies meal to the order and not 2 as ordered. I’ve double check my bill and 1 meal was charged, hopely the next visit will be better still so much to try out on your menu, until we meet again
First time at Hennies…Gaynore welcomed us with open arm, felt right at home…..Quinne ‘ek leer nog’ super cute and an absolute gem….can’t wait to see Gaynor un Brackenfell (I’m well informed), she is definitely manageress material!!!!
Gaynor is the best waitress ever man! Come and enjoy the amazing atmosphere and the people ❤️
Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Hennie’s Paarl. The service was quite quick and efficient. The food was delicious, I was surprised. A special thank you to my waiter, Marco Tolken, for his outstanding services and friendliness. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food & good times.
Hennie’s Paarl is a true gem! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and flavors that hit the spot. The service was top-notch; staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured a seamless dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming vibe!
Overall a great restaurant..Sinazo is a great waitress with a lovely personality and smile..very professional…food great…we ate breakfast…the eggs were a bit cold but still good…the fact that the manager greeted each of his guests individually on arrival and departure was a different experience…will definitely highly recommend Hennies Paarl…thanks guys!!
Sinazo is absolutely lovely as a server, and the service was absolutely excellent. The food was great, and the only tiny fault was that the music was just a tiny bit too loud (small gripe, but basically just personal taste). Definitely recommend visiting.
Feeling swindled.. We were a party of 3 dining and having a drink at Hennies Paarl. Firstly the waiter came to us and asked for a cash tip as according to him card tips do not go to them but rather “covers their basic”. We enjoyed our meal and when it was time to pay I received a bill of R 1778. The bill was given with sweets and as per every other restaurant we set about splitting the bill. my friend paid R 400 on his card, I paid R 1379 on my card making up the final total on the bill and we gave R 200 cash tip. the waiter accepted and thanked us and went away. 1 minute later he came back exclaiming that we underpaid. that the R 1778 on the bottom line of the bill did not include a FORCED service fee of 10% and that I needed to pay an additional R 178. I spoke to management and they explained somewhat, but how is this acceptable. so a burger on the menus is R135, but even if you are alone, only eating a burger that bill will be R 148? This is against consumer protection act isn’t it? listed prices should be the correct price with no hidden costs! And if that was forced should it not have been on my original bill at the bottom included in the R 1778? not an afterthought.. coming back after I have paid. I have now read that this is normal policy for ALL Hennies! I will never go to any other Hennies because of this hidden costs. And as for using the service fee to cover the waiters basic and it not even going to them is disgusting practice and should be against the labour law. PS. I did speak with management and they apologised, however after reading that his is standard practice across all hennies I felt I needed to review to WARN others that the menu prices on Hennies is not correct and that they are fooling you and many others.
I went there on a wim tonight to watch the SA VS NZ game.I was met by the Manager Chris / Arnold whom went out of their way to make sure we got the perfect seat. There is only one way to say it and that is that they were “oppit” from start to finish. My waiter was busy at times but everyone helped tables – no not my table mentality… it was a lekker evening all in all and every table was adding to the gees.We dont like to have 1 big meal but share more smaller things and get to taste more…Three things that stood out … that I cant stop thinking about when I am next going to eat there was the:Mozzarella Balls – OMGBeef Sliders – the patty was delicious and cooked perfectly!! It was tasty and tasted like more but 4 was enough 🙂 – pulled pork was nice but slightly on the sweet side.. those things are addictive!!My personal favourite – the wings … I am a crispy wing connoisseur.. trust me when I say that …. I was at a loss for words – I will NEVER eat them at RUPS (reverse) because they were hands down the best I have ever had!! The blue cheese sauce as well – sad that I did not get the celery sticks for the sauce .. but the wings stole the show for me.They also have “kaaigns” with a lekker pap and sous – also delicious but nowhere close to the wings.Drinks prices are well within the budget – not over priced and LOADS of specials (Buckets of beer and Ciders / double specials / 2 DBL vodka and 2 red bulls = R120) thats the price of double brandy at most places.I will certainly have a standing table there for the bokke games.. oh and you will stand for the Anthem and sing it..Can recommend this place hands down…
What a lovely experience this was to visit Hennie’s in Paarl. Yesterday, we will definitely be making a visit again =] lets first start with the amazing play area they have for the kiddies, and that is why i will visit them again when the summer comes. ☀️Their food is amazing, and their Cuppachino, too 😋Their staff is friendly all over, and they ensure you have everything you need to have a lovely visit at “Hennie’s,” and their prices are also not bad.10/10 guys well done and keep up the great service. If you do plan on visiting them with kiddies, please take some R 2.00 and R 5.00 coins with you for their little game center 😀
Oh my word! Where to start. What a wonderful experience. Daniel welcomed us at the door and helped us find a space that was right to accommodate our need for a baby area and a space for an elderly guest. Amy was just in a whole other league of service, she is amazing!! And then! Arnold! Hospitality and leading a team comes naturally to this human! Hennie’s Your service is phenomenal. Your food is delicious. Your atmosphere accommodates EVERYONE. Thank you for a lovely Sunday out.
Very nice pub where you can watch your favourite team with live music good atmosphere.
Unique venue which had an amazing bustling feel but also able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Service was great and a wide range of beers spirits and wides. Just beware the house rules!
My visit to Hennie’s in Paarl yesterday exceeded all expectations. Despite hearing about it from friends, I had misconceptions about it being just another binge-drinking hotspot. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere. Opting for the Jalapeño poppers, my usual litmus test for restaurants, I found them enjoyable, though they could have been cooked a bit longer for perfection. While I’m typically a tough critic, my experience was elevated to a 5-star level thanks to our outstanding waiter, Morgan. Her professionalism, articulate manner, and infectious smile epitomized exemplary service. Kudos to Hennie’s for employing someone like Morgan. I look forward to returning to explore more of your menu.
The worst restaurant in paarl. Waited 3 hours for the food. Only informed us after 2 and half hours that they don’t have chips. When you order drink you wait 30 to 45 minutes for your drink. The steak came rare send it back to the kitchen came back the same. They add staff on your order that you didn’t even order and also haven’t received. One of our friends left after 3 and half hours without any food. They haven’t even started with his food. Terrible place with terrible service
Sat outside at the back in kids play area. Kids enjoyed it and made their own pizza’s.I enjoyed the office hours specials which was a great option.
I am truly disappointed in the client service I got from Hennie’s Paarl today. We were greeted by one of the managers, seated at a nice table and advised a waiter will be with us soon, this was at 12:08. This was my first time eating at Hennie’s and was exited. At 12:15 no waiter asked if we wanted to drink something although walking passed us a few times. And believe me it wasn’t that busy, some tables were still open outside. So we decided at 12:20 to just get up and walk. No one stopped us or asked if there is something wrong, while standing at the door chatting as if nothing is wrong. So I ask the question is this how you want to treated at any restaurant?
Worst restaurant I’ve ever visited ! Why ?It’s my cousins birthday ! He chooses this restaurant! The location is nice , waiter was superb however , we got our meal, different pieces of meat ! The chicken wings were rotten !My brother basically tried to repress his gag reflex at the table to not puke in front of everyone after he ate the chicken wings ! I hadn’t tried any ! I didn’t take him seriously. My cousin had a bite and had the same response ! I thought they are exaggerating ! So they tell me to try . I tried ! It didn’t make it to my mouth ! It was repelling and a sharp horrible smell ! Made staff aware ! The manager didn’t believe us ! We asked them to taste it ! Cause they said we are not used to the taste ! The manager didn’t want to try it neither 2 other staff members yet they expect us to eat it ! 🤡🤡🤡We got no apology from the manager so I had to go to her and express my disappointment that we didn’t get an apology not from the waiter or the staff but from the manager, cause the waiters and staff did an awesome job of trying to fix it! But was limited as management gave me the impression they didn’t care – could be they were busy etc…. But I don’t buy it ! To me they didn’t give a donut about the fact we got given rotten chicken wings , as it’s the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant ! Was told they are already fixing it with new wings ! Not understanding, yes it could happen ! It’s hot , load shedding ! They should check the food before serving ! And should it happen at least have a plan to handle it that does not alienate the customer ! They brought new ones, acted like it’s no big deal , then let me pay the full price of the meal which equated to about 750 rand ! I left the place hungry as my appetite was gone ,given how it was handled ! I left that place to go eat something in Spur ! Where they did a great job !Henies didn’t care ! What was annoying, the other restaurants I visited while here in SA , were all better and cheaper and food tasted better ! And I didn’t leave hungry spending almost a 1000 rand ….My honest opinion !
Great vibe, great place to have a joll and the very well priced we love it to go there with our friends! Food is good and nice portions and the refreshments is always good value. Great special in the week. A new favourite of ours
What a lovely first experience! Food was good, service was great AND we had a colleague drink with his right hand and got blown up!! So he had to down his drink! What FUN! Will definitely be back!
Very average. Another restaurant relying on location and atmosphere more than anything else. The lunch specials are dismal, haphazardly put together. Pizzas were, in the best, adequate (avoid any with basting, it’s sauce on sauce on sauce). Service was warm, but expect long waiting time between requests. The prices are Cape normal, but the meals very lackluster. You could get much better value for money elsewhere
This new concept franchise is doing its best to create a reputation as a fun, relaxed space. The food is definitely the highlight. It is definitely fun if you fit into a certain demographic. Their constant whistles if you break a “rule” at first seem fun but become a real dampener if you are trying to have a proper conversation
Great food, vibe is chilled kids can play. Sit back and relax. Service can have a little upgrade but food is fast and awsome. Worth the wile to pop in have something to drink and just break away from the fast lane.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment. The service was abysmal – we waited endlessly for menus and had to fetch them ourselves. Attempts to call waiters were futile, as they seemed oblivious to our needs. The shared focaccia we ordered was served cold, and when I requested it to be heated, it came back chewy, clearly microwaved. Complaints to the manager about both service and food were met with minimal acknowledgment. Despite the lovely setting under trees on the main road, the overall experience was frustrating and far from enjoyable.
Two crumbed chicken snitchels cheese sauce and mash, excellentChicken strips and tjips properly served Nd cooked
Hennies dampened my girlfriend’s birthday celebrations when they decided to host a private function on a Saturday night without informing anyone. I’d called the week prior to ask if we could book for Saturday the following week and all they said was that they don’t accept bookings on weekends. I was okay with that and simply asked what time we should come next Saturday to ensure we get a table. They said 5pm and they did not say a thing about hosting a private function and we only found out about it when we arrived. Really inconvenient. Great place with good food and good vibe but I’m not sure if I will visit again after what happened.
Trevino as a waiter you rock as a salesman you are amazing. Thank you for the awesome service and the start of the merch collection. Keep up the great work. And compliments to the amazing kitchen staff..yummmmy
What a place to be. If you have a choice, request a waiter by the name Trevino, what a lad. Effortlessly became the best waiter I have ever had the pleasure of being served by.Best drinks and best food in town. The specials and prices are out of this world and the atmosphere is matched by none other.
I’ve been in the mood for an Eisbein for quite a while now and everyone has been recommending Hennies,We got Mr. delivery, And an utter disappointment. The eisbein on the menu is described as crispy, but what I got in fact, was a soft piece of fat the entire eisbein is a soft piece of fat. There is not one even one crispy part.Definitely not worth spending your money on this.My question is what kind of chef that is proud of what they do. Would be happy to send something like this out to a customerAs I’m writing this I am putting the eisbein in my air fryer I’m sure I’ll get better results. Not happy at all.
We all had a fantastic day at Hennies Paarl! All was good, service, food, company and neighbours!!!
My girlfriend and I had a great breakfast here on Sunday. The service was excellent and food portion very generous 😋
Went there for the first time to wat h the world cup, and even on such a busy night, the service and the food were of the highest standards. Our waiting staff was super friendly and the quality of the food was exceptional. We will deflation be back.
Excellent atmosphere and delectable cuisine. I’m particularly fond of the entertaining quirks they incorporate, such as the rule of drinking with the left hand or facing a fine. Our server, Marco (apologies for not recalling his last name), provided exceptional service. Our orders arrived promptly, and he attentively catered to our needs. In addition, it happened to be one of our friend’s birthdays, and Marco graciously surprised him with a complimentary shot, complete with a “happy birthday” message inscribed in chocolate sauce on the accompanying plate. Their enticing specials make me inclined to become a frequent patron in the near future.
Our second time around and our food was even better then the first time.Well done.My steak was really medium rare and my veg was hot as it should be.Our waiter Lindie was amazing, attentive and very informative. Thanks Hennnies Paarl!!!!!!!!!You rock keep it upCandice
As I walked into Hennies with our friends and kids in tow, I thought that this would have been the most amazing place to go to, had I been in my mid twenties… Walk a little deeper, I thought, these nooks a crannies will make for a perfect date spot, got to see the bar and got myself feeling like staying and watching a game of rugby. The true oasis for a toddler parent however, lies on the other side. Completely separate from the “main” restaurant, so no need to apologize for unruly loud children, an amazing play ground and a small room with games in. The menu had something for everyone, and the food we did have, was delicious. The cocktail menu made me want to stay longer, but kids… Will definitely be back
Lovely atmosphere! Good vibes! Amazing service!!! Thank you Eugene jys awesome!!!
What a unique experience. Loved the staff interaction with customers using their “Rules”. Great vibes and great fun, definitely a place to watch the rugby or F1. Just don’t forget the rules 😉
Best place to watch sport as a family. We visited to watch a World Cup Rugby match. As a mom of toddlers Hennie’s were so much better than what I expected. They really went the extra mile to cater for families with young kids. Plenty of seating at the kids play area with tables inside and outside. TV screens all over to make it easy to watch sport. Scooters for the kids, a ball pit and lovely R5 game’s area. Baby change area in the ladies bathroom. The area was filled with families and kids running around playing but under supervision at all times. I felt so comfortable just letting my children play while we could watch a bit of rugby as a family. Cameras all over. A kid area manager also keeps an extra eye on all the happenings in case a parent misses something. Lovely and safe atmosphere.I can really recommend and wish them success as they recognised a need to cater better for families with young kids.
Love the outside ambiance of this place. The on the ball friendly waitress made it so much more special.
Starters was cold and under cook. Main wasn’t correct send bad and when food came back the part that was wrong was just scratched out and it was cold. They brought us a shot to say sorry.
Nice noisy relaxing atmosphere. Awesome to wind down after a long day.
Always great to stop at Hennie’s Restaurant any time during the day for a quick bite or a formal seating and a proper meal.Great vibe always
Overall just had a bad experience. Moody staff and and managers. Not a very good impression for 1st time customers. Will definitely not go back
Awesome place!Delicious food!!Amazing atmosphere!!The best service!!Will definitely come back again and again!!!
Have been a Paarl local for a long time. Its a nice sports bar, I give them that. But being a predominantly a family oriented town Hennie’s here feels out of place and need to do a lot to get things right. Start off with at least good coffee and not letting your customers wait +45min to get served with drinks. There is also always something wrong… if its not the service, its the TV’s and the only comments from the managers are always “we did not expect to be so busy”. It feels like the 6 managers on the floor are trying but need to do more to make it work for the community. If they can do that, and provide proper coffee, sure they’ll make it.
Hennie’s Paarl is a relaxing place where you can have a good meal and a ice cold beer. Wide range of food options and drinks. Good service with staff that is always ready to help. Fun place to have a quick drink or sit for something to eat. They have a bar section and alot of seating inside and outside. Excellent service and friendly
Very very nice place! Very good food, very good location, very good vibes. Excellent price for what you get. Only small thing is there is a rule which says you have to whistle to get service(I guess as a joke as some of the rules are), there are no whistles at the table where you sit. Which means we sat down, ordered drinks waited for like 15-20mins to get our drinks, we almost stood up to go fetch someone. The other thing is, 10% gets physically added to your bill for “TIPS”. So you can’t just add like 5% or lets say R50 or what not. So if you had bad service, could you get that removed? Luckily the service was good enough for us not to ask about that. I’d say the 2 points above are the only things that can be improved. With that said….. I love the place 🙂 Thank you so much!
