The vibe was great, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. The service was fantastic from start to finish, and our waiter, Kevin, was absolutely the best. He was friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.Thank you to Kevin and the team for making our afternoon so enjoyable. I used to like this place. Had great service a year ago. Great for kids. Recently the decline here is clear. This Saturday we where about 12 people who went. I asked “what is your coldest beer” barman said they are all hot unfortunately. Not even cold beer on tap. Guys…one easy job here as its winter. Later on, there was soccer on tv. We had some space at our table. There was also other tables open. A random guy who looked like a begger sat beside us at our table and watched the soccer. It was dodgy and we thought to rather check our valuables. Rather than create a dispute and tell the guy to leave our table, I informed the manager that this dodgy guy is not with us and that we want him to leave and that he should watch him. I mean he did not even order anything and tgere are other open tables. The manager said he would take care of it. The manager spoke to him and then left. Manager then stood at the side of the bar looked me straight in the eye. I was like what now? No response. I now realise why, on a saturday night at about 20h00, so many tables are open at this place. You will not see me here again. Food wasnt bad though.
Kelvin Zata is the best waiter ever. He reads minds, he knows exactly what you want before you know you want it. Amazing skill, amazing intuition – he is underemployed as a waiter. What a guy.

Hennie’s is always a great place for friends to meet. And we had a great time.Only irks I have, is outside is for smokers, so non-smokers cant enjoy the veranda seeting.So we sat inside, which is way to hot for comfort. Only solution is to open the huge windows, which is OK untill the veranda smokers starts…I won’t be back, sorry
We visit Hennie’s in Middelburg, excellent service, food and a wonderful vibe…. definitely need one closer, like in Bethal. Prices are good! Thats all we are going to need in this busy drive through town as well. Closest places as 45km away, with toll roads! A vibe for the entire family and safe for children as well
Let’s start off with the service. At the start, we had a very kind male waiter, then randomly he disappeared, and a while later we only got a new waitress. We had a very small order – just a low carb brekkie and my boyfriend’s Blackvember special, which we ordered almost immediately as we got there (with the male waiter). After 90 minutes, we eventually got our food. The food was SO cold, it seemed like it was forgotten. I asked for a medium egg and got basically a raw egg. The halloumi was SO salty it was inedible. The rest on my plate was fine (which was literally an avo). Then for my boyfriend, his burger was also very cold, and the buns themselves were so toasted it was basically a toasted sandwich. Without complaining, we asked for the bill, and then eventually after 30 minutes, we only got our bill.
Hennies is always a great spot for good food, drinks, and a lively vibe. The service is friendly and the portions are generous, making it perfect for a casual outing with friends or family. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a fun atmosphere. Thanks Pabi for the great service!!
Was here for my wifes birthday and Pabi was an amazing waitress she always had a smile on her face and made sure we were always good. The food was amazing as well. The music was a bit loud but still an amazing place

This used to be our favourite restaurant in the East, as although the kiddies area was small our boy used to be well entertained.However, the kids area needs serious attention! The jungle gym is in horrible shape, the basketball hoop is nroken and hanging by a thread, the toys are all broken, and to topp it all off the roof was leaking and causi g the kids to get wet.Its an absolute disgrace that you do not care about the pups anymore and focus more on customers who can drink the most. Remember parents are always looking for nice places to take their kids too!Food and service is great , but the pups deserve some attention !
The service was great—friendly and efficient staff made the experience enjoyable, thanks Khumbi. However, the quality of the ingredients on the pizza was off putting and disappointing. The toppings tasted cheap, and the overall flavour was lacking. While I appreciate the 50% off Wednesday special, that shouldn’t mean compromising on quality. A discount shouldn’t come at the expense of good ingredients
The Cheese Louise burger is SO good!! If you like cheesy burgers, I would highly recommend trying this.Service is very good, drinks are very good, everything is good. Lekker plek.

Hi Hennie,On December 13, 2024, my wife, our two kids, and I visited your restaurant for the first time. We had the chicken salad and ramp salad, while the kids had pizza and chips. We were hoping for a nice meal, especially since we were leaving for a long trip to the Western Cape the following day and didn’t want to dirty our house before we left. Unfortunately, we never expected that we would end up with food poisoning from your restaurant.The entire drive from Pretoria to the Western Cape turned into a nightmare. We had to stop in the middle of nowhere—whether in towns or fields—just to deal with the food poisoning. The long journey, combined with both of us being unwell, completely ruined our trip. It was a disaster.I’ve written 2 reviews before, but I feel compelled to share this experience. I would not recommend Hennie’s based on what we went through. It was a very bad start to our holiday, and it’s an experience I’d rather forget.

The two salads we ordered seemed fresh and delicious.Unfortunately, a few hours later, both my husband and I experienced upset stomachs and were unwell throughout the evening. This was disappointing, as we had high hopes for a great overall experience.I kindly urge management to make sure the staff prioritize hygiene and ensure that proper sanitary practices are maintained at all times. Customers trust that the food they’re served is prepared in a clean and safe environment.While we enjoyed the initial experience, we sadly won’t be returning due to this unfortunate incident.
Had the most amazing pulled pork burger I’ve ever had in my life. Combine that with amazing service relieves by Sibusigo made it a awesome experience thank you.

I drove 30 minutes specifically to eat at this restaurant because it’s one of the only places I found listed as being open until 12:00 AM on Google. I arrived at 9:45 PM, was seated, and then told that the kitchen was already closed. This is absolutely unacceptable. If the kitchen closes earlier, that should be clearly stated on Google so customers don’t waste their time. To make matters worse, your phone number doesn’t even work, so I couldn’t verify before making the trip.

We had an great time thanks to our AMAZING waitress Moreblessing! This was Saturday and we were waiting on our friends for 3 hours. If it wasn’t for her amazing customer service and light demeanor we would have left after an hour, we ended up staying from 16h00 to 22h00, what a salesperson, she needs a raise!
pretty disappointing, hyped up restaurant, but the food was kinda kak, atmosphere was great, if u have 3 families in an almost empty area maybe don’t try disturbing us to insist on buffalo rules, i understand u are trying to boost your tips but understand the difference between brunch and a party atmosphere.bottom line, there are better bars, this is a cash grab better avoided. just google an alternative. great place to get drunk but that’s about it.
Moreblessing is an excellent waitress with a witty charm and a great attitude. She served us at Hennies in Moreleta park and her service was great. Food and drinks came quickly and she made us laugh with her great personality.
Quality of the Ribs was substandard. Actually, extremely so, communicated to management accordingly.To provide some balance in review, the chicken schnitzel of accompaying diner was good.So, take your chance, maybe you will be fortunate. I won’t take the chance again.

Our family are regular patrons at various Hennie’s restaurants. We especially like to dine at Hennie’s on Wednesdays to enjoy the Pizza specials. On every other occasion, we are charged normal price for menu items on special that day and always have to rectify this. Our preferred branch, Hennie’s Moreleta Park, started hosting Quiz Nights on Wednesday nights. We had been fortunate enough to place second on the Quiz night on 06/12/2023. Upon receiving our prize, we had already settled our bill. We asked our waitron whether we could redeem the voucher the next week (13/12/2023) and we were assured this is perfectly fine. When we attempted to hand in the voucher with our bill on 13/12/2023, we were notified that unfortunately Hennie’s cannot honor the voucher as it should have been handed in on the day of receiving it. With no further recourse or attempt made by staff or management to accommodate us. – There is no indication on the voucher of the extent of its validity. – There is/was no verbal communication of expiry or terms of use. This reflects very poorly on a franchise that considers itself a customer oriented establishment.
Great place to watch the Rugby or Cricket World Cup. Had a great atmosphere during the quarter finals when everyone stood as one when the anthem played and the Springboks went on to win France.Fantastic experience!

Looks like a stunning place, but it would’ve been nice to experience the inside. Unfortunately it is almost always full even of there is no sport on. Maybe they should consider having smaller tables due to the fact that a lot of the tables are only occupied by 2 people, where there is indeed space for 6.

Great place to watch sports, many TVs to see from where you are sitting. Multiple TVs enable different sports to be watched at the same time. Great service and great food, will definitely be back again to watch more sports or just hang out with friends.And last but not least, don’t forget rule #1!
Most enjoyable afternoon spent at Hennie’s Moreleta, waiters are great, food is awesome, atmosphere is fantastic. Watched the rugby and even though they had loadshedding, their generator kicked in and the party carried on. They do have some fun rules to adhere to, follow through on it & you’ll have fun. Loved it.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning with a bar type menu. Cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beers. It has a fun atmosphere with silly rules like: you are only allowed to drink with your left hand. Get caught and you need to down your drink. Love this place and will continue to visit.
Very disappointed. Wanted to go for the Mimosa special, as I’ve been here before. Last time we were able to smoke hubly outside but now we must sit in the smoking area. I phoned to make a reservation and they couldn’t get my reservation. On the phone I confirmed that smoking hubly outside was fine. So frustrating!!!! They didn’t even try to make a plan. Won’t see me again.

Excellent food and great service. Possibly the best jalapeño poppers we’ve had, not made by us at home 🤪 Green Goddess sauce that comes with them is something unique and truly tasty. Loaded fries are EXCELLENT and everything on our platter was great. Will definitely return 😊

Where to start…-Only getting a waiter to take a drinks order 30min after seating.-Food taking over an hour from point of order (no problem if you are busy but give your customers a heads up when ordering – communication is all that’s needed)-Somehow a simple garlic roll starter was only served after my main arrived.And apparently managers and waiters use masks as chin warmers when talking to you , walking around and serving food!!!!Horrible experience for my group of friends whom have all agreed to never go back!! Which is disappointing as my first experience was great!

A gentleman Mike assisted me when I was on a hunt for Merch. I had to go back to collect and Mike was not in at the time but he still phoned me when he arrived back to confirm that I was happy with my purchase. Hennies is a great place, but the service we had was super terrible. They did not enforce the hennies rules and you wait of ages to get your drinks. A waiter named Billy was unprofessional and added items to my bill that I didn’t even order. With a bill of R 3600 with a tip of more than R400 he still had the decency to ask me is that the only tip he is going to get!Hennies Montana on the other hand is totally different. The vibe is great the actually enforce the hennies rules, with great food and people.Hennies Moreletta wil not see us again.Hennies Montana will see me again soon.The only reason why we went to Hennies Moreletta is because Hennies Montana do not do pre bookings. In future i’ll rather take a chance with ” First come, first serve ” than go to Hennies Moreletta.

Our service was terrible(not sure if it was just because it was sunday and the guy was over it or what) and the bathrooms were dirty with pee and toilet paper on the floor.. BUT i wont let this one speak for the brand as a different Hennies we visited was absolutely amazing we had great food, great service nice and clean restrooms and just an amazing vibe!

We didn’t even have to season it. Oupa, our barman, is a master at making mouth-watering cocktails. This place is on point. Dare I say the best pub in Pretoria…

This used to be our favourite restaurant in the East, as although the kiddies area was small our boy used to be well entertained.However, the kids area needs serious attention! The jungle gym is in horrible shape, the basketball hoop is nroken and hanging by a thread, the toys are all broken, and to topp it all off the roof was leaking and causi g the kids to get wet.Its an absolute disgrace that you do not care about the pups anymore and focus more on customers who can drink the most. Remember parents are always looking for nice places to take their kids too!Food and service is great , but the pups deserve some attention !
The service was great—friendly and efficient staff made the experience enjoyable, thanks Khumbi. However, the quality of the ingredients on the pizza was off putting and disappointing. The toppings tasted cheap, and the overall flavour was lacking. While I appreciate the 50% off Wednesday special, that shouldn’t mean compromising on quality. A discount shouldn’t come at the expense of good ingredients
The Cheese Louise burger is SO good!! If you like cheesy burgers, I would highly recommend trying this.Service is very good, drinks are very good, everything is good. Lekker plek.

Hi Hennie,On December 13, 2024, my wife, our two kids, and I visited your restaurant for the first time. We had the chicken salad and ramp salad, while the kids had pizza and chips. We were hoping for a nice meal, especially since we were leaving for a long trip to the Western Cape the following day and didn’t want to dirty our house before we left. Unfortunately, we never expected that we would end up with food poisoning from your restaurant.The entire drive from Pretoria to the Western Cape turned into a nightmare. We had to stop in the middle of nowhere—whether in towns or fields—just to deal with the food poisoning. The long journey, combined with both of us being unwell, completely ruined our trip. It was a disaster.I’ve written 2 reviews before, but I feel compelled to share this experience. I would not recommend Hennie’s based on what we went through. It was a very bad start to our holiday, and it’s an experience I’d rather forget.
We as a family decided to give Hennies Moreleta Park a try for the first time yesterday.The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The two salads we ordered seemed fresh and delicious.Unfortunately, a few hours later, both my husband and I experienced upset stomachs and were unwell throughout the evening. This was disappointing, as we had high hopes for a great overall experience.I kindly urge management to make sure the staff prioritize hygiene and ensure that proper sanitary practices are maintained at all times. Customers trust that the food they’re served is prepared in a clean and safe environment.While we enjoyed the initial experience, we sadly won’t be returning due to this unfortunate incident.
Had the most amazing pulled pork burger I’ve ever had in my life. Combine that with amazing service relieves by Sibusigo made it a awesome experience thank you.
Really a nice place to have a drink and the food is amazing. Bathrooms are clean and the service is great. The manager has a wonderful sense of humor and there is a lot of parking space.
I drove 30 minutes specifically to eat at this restaurant because it’s one of the only places I found listed as being open until 12:00 AM on Google. I arrived at 9:45 PM, was seated, and then told that the kitchen was already closed. This is absolutely unacceptable. If the kitchen closes earlier, that should be clearly stated on Google so customers don’t waste their time. To make matters worse, your phone number doesn’t even work, so I couldn’t verify before making the trip.

Amazing food, had the eisbein and it was great! Was served by Fudge and it was some of the best service I’ve had in a long time, she was super sweet and helpful. My girl couldn’t stop doing a happy dance while eating her cream cheese burger. Great place! 10/10

We had an great time thanks to our AMAZING waitress Moreblessing! This was Saturday and we were waiting on our friends for 3 hours. If it wasn’t for her amazing customer service and light demeanor we would have left after an hour, we ended up staying from 16h00 to 22h00, what a salesperson, she needs a raise!
pretty disappointing, hyped up restaurant, but the food was kinda kak, atmosphere was great, if u have 3 families in an almost empty area maybe don’t try disturbing us to insist on buffalo rules, i understand u are trying to boost your tips but understand the difference between brunch and a party atmosphere.bottom line, there are better bars, this is a cash grab better avoided. just google an alternative. great place to get drunk but that’s about it.
Moreblessing is an excellent waitress with a witty charm and a great attitude. She served us at Hennies in Moreleta park and her service was great. Food and drinks came quickly and she made us laugh with her great personality.
Quality of the Ribs was substandard. Actually, extremely so, communicated to management accordingly.To provide some balance in review, the chicken schnitzel of accompaying diner was good.So, take your chance, maybe you will be fortunate. I won’t take the chance again.

Our family are regular patrons at various Hennie’s restaurants. We especially like to dine at Hennie’s on Wednesdays to enjoy the Pizza specials. On every other occasion, we are charged normal price for menu items on special that day and always have to rectify this. Our preferred branch, Hennie’s Moreleta Park, started hosting Quiz Nights on Wednesday nights. We had been fortunate enough to place second on the Quiz night on 06/12/2023. Upon receiving our prize, we had already settled our bill. We asked our waitron whether we could redeem the voucher the next week (13/12/2023) and we were assured this is perfectly fine. When we attempted to hand in the voucher with our bill on 13/12/2023, we were notified that unfortunately Hennie’s cannot honor the voucher as it should have been handed in on the day of receiving it. With no further recourse or attempt made by staff or management to accommodate us. – There is no indication on the voucher of the extent of its validity. – There is/was no verbal communication of expiry or terms of use. This reflects very poorly on a franchise that considers itself a customer oriented establishment.
Great place to watch the Rugby or Cricket World Cup. Had a great atmosphere during the quarter finals when everyone stood as one when the anthem played and the Springboks went on to win France.Fantastic experience!

Looks like a stunning place, but it would’ve been nice to experience the inside. Unfortunately it is almost always full even of there is no sport on. Maybe they should consider having smaller tables due to the fact that a lot of the tables are only occupied by 2 people, where there is indeed space for 6.

Great place to watch sports, many TVs to see from where you are sitting. Multiple TVs enable different sports to be watched at the same time. Great service and great food, will definitely be back again to watch more sports or just hang out with friends.And last but not least, don’t forget rule #1!
Most enjoyable afternoon spent at Hennie’s Moreleta, waiters are great, food is awesome, atmosphere is fantastic. Watched the rugby and even though they had loadshedding, their generator kicked in and the party carried on. They do have some fun rules to adhere to, follow through on it & you’ll have fun. Loved it.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning with a bar type menu. Cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beers. It has a fun atmosphere with silly rules like: you are only allowed to drink with your left hand. Get caught and you need to down your drink. Love this place and will continue to visit.
Very disappointed. Wanted to go for the Mimosa special, as I’ve been here before. Last time we were able to smoke hubly outside but now we must sit in the smoking area. I phoned to make a reservation and they couldn’t get my reservation. On the phone I confirmed that smoking hubly outside was fine. So frustrating!!!! They didn’t even try to make a plan. Won’t see me again.

Excellent food and great service. Possibly the best jalapeño poppers we’ve had, not made by us at home 🤪 Green Goddess sauce that comes with them is something unique and truly tasty. Loaded fries are EXCELLENT and everything on our platter was great. Will definitely return 😊

Where to start…-Only getting a waiter to take a drinks order 30min after seating.-Food taking over an hour from point of order (no problem if you are busy but give your customers a heads up when ordering – communication is all that’s needed)-Somehow a simple garlic roll starter was only served after my main arrived.And apparently managers and waiters use masks as chin warmers when talking to you , walking around and serving food!!!!Horrible experience for my group of friends whom have all agreed to never go back!! Which is disappointing as my first experience was great!

Hennies is a great place, but the service we had was super terrible. They did not enforce the hennies rules and you wait of ages to get your drinks. A waiter named Billy was unprofessional and added items to my bill that I didn’t even order. With a bill of R 3600 with a tip of more than R400 he still had the decency to ask me is that the only tip he is going to get!Hennies Montana on the other hand is totally different. The vibe is great the actually enforce the hennies rules, with great food and people.Hennies Moreletta wil not see us again.Hennies Montana will see me again soon.The only reason why we went to Hennies Moreletta is because Hennies Montana do not do pre bookings. In future i’ll rather take a chance with ” First come, first serve ” than go to Hennies Moreletta.

Our service was terrible(not sure if it was just because it was sunday and the guy was over it or what) and the bathrooms were dirty with pee and toilet paper on the floor.. BUT i wont let this one speak for the brand as a different Hennies we visited was absolutely amazing we had great food, great service nice and clean restrooms and just an amazing vibe!
