We visited Hennies in Hartenbos. Initially it felt fine, then we told about the rules at Hennies (e.g. drink in left… hand, otherwise you need to down your drink – luckily our waiter informed us re this for which he got a very good tip).We ordered the Sunday Chicken schnitzel promotion (on the menu as “Chicken schnitzel served with a classic sauce of choice”.Firstly, the schnitzel tasted bland, no spices and herbs – quite crunchy on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. The sauce (of their choice – we were not asked what the choices were), was a whitish sauce with no taste.After eating some of the food, we decided to ask for the bill, paid and left.I believe Hennies is more focused on the younger generation wanting to enjoy drinks and “lekker kuier” and not on more mature people.We will try another Hennies in our area and compare service and food, but Hennies in Hartenbos will not see us again.read more
Feb in Hartenbosch…Hennie’s is a must!! Our waiter, Nicholas.. was such a pleasure to be served by him. Polite,… friendly and very effecient! The manager “Tiny” came around 2 times to see if we were well looked after. These young men get a 100% from us. Well done Hennies!! Their chicken wings is amazing😉read more
Waited Over 1 and a half hours for a pizza and hotdog. Then the order wasn’t right. We left without eating anything!… Thinking if they take it off the bill it is going to make a difference. The manager was rude and did not give the waitress any assistance when she asked him at least 5 times to please go see what is going on in the kitchen. Our waitress was really good and far more helpful than the so called manager. she should get promoted to manager. There was a large bit of sharp glass in the ice in one of our friends drinks almost the same size as the ice block! the manager had a so what attitude even said it happens sometimes when the bar staff are in a hurry! Just replaced the drink as if nothing had happened! The new Hennies has been an extremely disappointing experience. We will not be going backread more

She made sure everything was perfect, checked in at the right moments and handled everything with ease and a great attitude. Top notch food. Top notch service. Top notch atmosphere. Our waiter Jayden had his work cut out for him, and boy…… job well done! He was at our table a couple of times, asked if we were okay numerous times, if we needed anything. Went out of his way to help us and assist with all requests, and did a great job. Only one thing I would add to make life easier for moms with little one’s, is a baby changing station. Lots of families with little one’s visit our establishment and there is no such facility.
