The Hond lager is a great beer! I loved it.The BBQ basting on the steak was on the sweet side which I did not like but the food, overall, was cooked well and decent portions.
We had the best experience at Hennie’s thanks to Nicolas! Easily the best waiter we’ve ever had. He was friendly, attentive, fast, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. His service was outstanding and he really added to the whole atmosphere of the evening. Hennie’s is lucky to have someone like him on their team. We’ll definitely be back and hope to be served by Nicolas again!
The food was very good overall. The blue cheese sauce with the hot wings was excellent. The wings themselves tasted good, although they were smaller chicken wings rather than what I’d normally think of as buffalo wings. Still enjoyable though. The burger was also really good. It ended up a bit more well-done than I personally prefer, but I also didn’t specify how I wanted it cooked, so that’s on me. What impressed me most was that they made a burger for me that I had seen in a photo but which was no longer on the menu — that was such a nice gesture.The atmosphere is a bit of an American-style casual spot. Our seats were right by the parking area, which isn’t the most scenic setting, but that’s simply how the place is designed and not really their fault.The place also has a theme around the owner’s dogs, with photos on the walls and menu items named after them. The menu includes a set of house “rules” written in a humorous way. They’re funny to read, although if taken literally they might feel like quite a lot to remember if you’re just stopping in for a relaxed meal.Overall, great service and very good food.
Hennies Harties has become one of my favourite dining places.The restaurant is family friendly with a designated play area for kids. Although there was a lot of music, the sound proofing is great as you can still have conversations without needing to shout at the person next to you.The food portions were very generous. And the steak cooked to perfect – medium rare and very tender.Thank you to Dennis for the excellent service as well.

Lovely for the youngsters and party animals. Bit too noisy for my liking with very little on their pizza’s compared to other well known establishments. Best and coldest draughts I however had in a long time.
Our first visit to Hennies Harties, and wow—what a way to be welcomed to Harties all the way from Cape Town.The food was absolutely fantastic: generous portions, full of flavour, and the kind of comfort food that makes you immediately understand why people keep coming back. Every dish at our table was a winner, which is no small feat when you’re feeding a group of 10 hungry people.But the real star of the show was our waiter, Chivas. Calm, friendly, funny, and completely unflappable—he handled our big table like a seasoned pro. Orders were spot on, drinks kept flowing, and service was brilliant from start to finish. If there were an Olympic sport for managing large tables with a smile, Chivas would be taking gold.Between the great food, excellent service, and energetic vibe, this place has officially converted a group of Capetonians into Hennies fans. We came hungry, left happy, and will definitely be back—hopefully with Chivas looking after us again.Highly recommended.
René was absolutly amazing, ask for her when you come to Hennies Harties!While we were waiting for the food she heard our 5 year old son say that he is very hungry and brought a small plate of chips within a few minutes just to fill his “hole”, I felt carsick and she also heard that I mentioned it and within a few moments she arrived at the table with a small glass of ginger ale and if her friendliness and compassion wasnt enough, she went and caught a “teddy” for our son at the vending machine and brought it to him, his smile was HUGE!Thank you for not only doing your job for the money, but truly making it a family experience!We will DEFENITELY see you again Tannie René! 🫶🏼💪🏼☀️
The service was great the atmosphere was spectacular. We were dining and Brandewyning @ Harties Hennies. Our waiter’s name was Chivas; as in Regal; great service, very friendly and welcoming. Hennies is going to become one of the gems for relaxing, having an outing, and having just a great SA experience. There was a “BOKSIE” who tried to cause a probleempie, but the WAGHOND sorted him like an accountant sorts accounting shit with a degree behind their name. So compliments to everyone, from the chef to the waghond.Thanks for making your dream a reality Jonathan, without it we SA won’t have had a HENNIE’S. Groete en Liefde van Jakkalsdraffie!!!
The service was excellent! We felt like Rene’s only customers in a full restaurant. She attended to our every need and we never waited for anything. She was super friendly throughout the evening. I would definitely recommend going to Hennie’s Hartbeespoort, and ask for RENE!!!!

I love the Hennies at Rustenburg. What an experience, the food a perfectly made, the staff is friendly and active and friendly. I definitely would give 10 stars if I could. I recommend anyone to go eat there.Maybe you guys can come show Hennies in Harties chef what fresh food looks like, I highly doubts there is any kitchen Manger that looks at the food that comes out, when you ask harties Hennies for a medium to rare wors you get it well done so many times and the pap is so stiff. An excellent experience. Were lucky to get seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was well priced and portions generous. Atmosphere was excellent. Overall just a well managed and well oiled machine!
We came for a quick midweek break to Hartbeespoortdam, and after searching a few places on Maps, found Hennie’s1. The venue is very nice, open, and has enough seatings. The outside area is misted with small mist sprayers.2. The service was great, and Letty was super in her help and assistance in making informed decisions from the menu.3. Without us knowing, she told us about the Wednesday cocktail and pizza 🍕 specials.We also, after having chicken livers and halloumi, were told about that we could buy the sauce and Worcester Sout, and so we did 😉 thus also great in sales.4. The food was great and big portions, i had the dagwood and my wife, the chedda smelt burger 🍔Guys, you can definitely try this restaurant 😋
Fletcher was our waiter today. He was absolutely amazing and one of the best waiters I have had before.This Hennies has a great atmosphere and a great kiddies corner.
It’s a great place and all. Good food, good drinks and everything. The only issue I had was the “service fee”. It adds confusion because you don’t know if you need to pay the wait staff a tip. After some brief discussion with mine, I realized I have to tip him above the service fee.A humble recommendation for a 5 star is to do away with the forced service fee and come up with an internal policy for tipping the barmen and chefs etc…
Hennies Harties is a gem! The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. What an amazing experience!We stopped for a quick lunch and was blown away by an exceptionally friendly and beautiful manager named Alice. Then our experience was made perfect by our lovely waiter, Sarah, the food was excellent as well!This place has set the bar so high for us that we would gladly drive to Harties for a lunch at Hennies.

The food was just fantastic as well as the chocolate pizza, people stared as the waiter brought our chocolate pizza to our table! Each month our date night is at Hennies and we just love it there and PS thank you for your secret code at the back of the bathroom door I have never seen something that like that thanks!

We received good service at Hennies and I really enjoyed the nachos. They have a nice play area for the kids, and there were plenty of families enjoying it. The music inside was a bit loud for my taste, but overall, I can’t complain too much.
Hennie’s are a wonderful and welcome relatively new restaurant-pub in Hartbeespoort. It’s well situated, with a good layout, friendly people, almost always a little buzz going on and decent food options and very tasty pizzas. There’s a well thought-out perfectly positioned kiddies play section that is very practical for monitoring your kids while winding down. It’s safe and also has a child minder on standby inside at all times.This is a very nice venue with great atmosphere and people..! I give them a high overall rating of 4.6 out of 5
Really nice atmosphere, great service, but our “Blaf sap” drink was a bit on the weaker side and had almost no alcohol in it. I love the Hennies franchise and I would never lie about my ratings, especially this place.
Orderded x2 pizza’s on 8 July 2024 and what I found was disgusting really….My son has food poisoning because of rotten pieces of pizza served in n take away. I find it very unprofessional to say the least.Many of our friends and family have also complained about food and service at this establishment. I have tried contacting management privately all day yesterday and today with absolutely no response at all. So they leave me no other choice but to go public with this disgusting service and food. We were served our first drinks and nobody attended us again after that. I have videos to prove the rotten pizza that we were given. I rate this place 0/10. They will not be seeing us again!!

I like to support Hienies. Today It was the worst service I get at Hennies in Harties. The waiter take us to the seat and left us . We wait for 10min still no service. The waiters stand around at chat with the management. I stand up go to the manager and told him. The service is very poor. I hope head office will sort this one.

I absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, friendly professional staff from the moment of the meet and seat all the way through our meal to a lovely greeting by several staff when we left. Awesome specials week days and lunch times. We had half price Pizza. The best pizza in Harties in my humble opinion. Try the “Varkhond” with a health serving of pulled pork or another one with Danish feta and beautiful avo both delicious. Not all pizza are half price but the selection that is will cater for most tastes. Same applies for the cocktails, not all on specials but a wonderful selection and the barman knows exactly what his doing masterful cocktails. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Everything was just lekker. I have been to many of Hennie’s restaurants. This one was for sure one of the better ones. We enjoyed the food & the atmosphere. The play area could use some work. But overall, it was all good.

I liked the fun atmosphere initiated by the house rules! The waiters were client friendly like I’ve never seen before. My visit was part of a cycling group ride and the manager immediately realised that we need a special arrangement for save keeping of our bicycles. They accomodate us in this regard even before we could ask for it! Well done to the manager and staff! See you again!

I have always rated this place ,tops! But this time around ,I ordered whisky and a mixer to share with my wife. I thought it was strange because we were getting doubles to share!?🤔 , the waitress was giving us doubles!!! When the bill came I was shocked ! So all I can say is query your booze order if you think there is a discrepancy!! Because instead of getting a bill for 3 for R750 , you land up paying R1200. Otherwise all great!!

We partook in a luncheon where the cuisine was splendid however, the attendants seemed somewhat deficient in swiftly processing our orders. Upon placing our order, there was a noticeable delay in the arrival of our beverages. The protocols and guidelines were not thoroughly elucidated, yet we adeptly adapted finding this approach commendable and refreshingly distinctive. The ambiance met our expectations, and despite the minor setback of sluggish waiter responsiveness, we intend to revisit as it was a trivial concern.
First time visiting. Just a quick bite with my 6 year old son. Very happy.The play area is nice, and there are sitters to watch over kids.Food was reasonably priced and very very good. Had a nice desert to share with my son. A Nutella and oreo pizza with ice cream for R45. Amazing.

What a disaster. NOT a pleasant experience. Waited 2hr’s for cold, cold food. Manager received comments as water of a duck’ back. Seems that bigger groups are more important than the std 4 person group. Seen how different groups of 10 -12 that arrived after us finish their meals before we even recieved ours. Please learn from Krugersdorp how it’s done. All above not to brake rule#1. Definitely not what was expected.
Terrible service first they had no cheese sauce then when asked about drink specials which the waiter Nico said they had, when the bill came we were charged double per drink. And his excuse oh well he thought it was a special. Please train your waiters properly.
The food was tasty and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place could be described as a bar or beer hall that is also a restaurant. Don’t come here if you are expecting a quiet and romantic evening! The music is quite loud but not excessive unless there is a live band. Be warned, there are some house rules that include not drinking with your right hand – a member of staff who has a whistle may notice you and you may be asked to drink the rest of your beer. Quite a lot of fun if that’s what you like.
We were advised that food would take 1.5 Hours as they are very busy. Had to go and order our own drinks as well. Employ more staff to service customers as this could be your only downfall. Can’t say anything about the food as we didn’t eat. Nice play area and restaurant layout as well as entertainment, but that’s about it….
We had a great time on a busy Wednesday evening. Our waiter was Allister who delivered excellent service, keeping us up to date on delays and ensuring we received our food as soon as possible. The kitchen was flexible and adjusted menu items to suit dietary requirements, with delicious food brought out. The atmosphere is lively with something for everyone. Will definitely return.

Food is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is amazing, staff just needs to be trained CORRECTLY. In the 2 hours me and my husband were there, waiters kept coming out with food and had absolutely no idea for whom it is or to what table it belongs to… Management also needs training, they don’t go to people asking if everything is ok. The lady that works at the door needs to be replaced, not trained, REPLACED! If the restaurant is full, she tells the clients that there are currently no tables available and they can go to fishermen’s or fork and knife… Who tells clients to go to another place?!
Absolutely amazing. My husband and I visited this establishment during our weekend at hartbeesport,my goodness,we couldn’t stop saying good things about this place. From our waiter Leo who was amazing,attentive and just a pleasure. To the manager Brandon who stopped to chat to us so many times, a real feel good pub and the friendly patrons as well. Food amazing and reasonable priced. We had the wings and sliders which we definitely recommend. We don’t have a single bad thing to say about this place. Keep up the amazing service guys.

We have been here twice and they sent us away both times.The first time because they were full which i could understand but today Monday 21 Aug we went at 10 pm because there website said they close at 11 pm and they said they were closed aftar 1 waiter asked table for 5 the others said were closed. Very terrible service. I would not recommend going.
Great vibe, delicious food and excellent customer service. The Pups corner was exceptional and well organized. They had lovely childminders so Mom & Dad had the opportunity to sit back and relax. Stunning layout, cleanliness and quality merchandise. Safe parking available. Awesome spot to enjoy sporting events, have a jol, and enjoy quality family time. René was absolutly amazing, ask for her when you come to Hennies Harties!While we were waiting for the food she heard our 5 year old son say that he is very hungry and brought a small plate of chips within a few minutes just to fill his “hole”, I felt carsick and she also heard that I mentioned it and within a few moments she arrived at the table with a small glass of ginger ale and if her friendliness and compassion wasnt enough, she went and caught a “teddy” for our son at the vending machine and brought it to him, his smile was HUGE!Thank you for not only doing your job for the money, but truly making it a family experience!We will DEFENITELY see you again Tannie René! 🫶🏼💪🏼☀️
The service was great the atmosphere was spectacular. We were dining and Brandewyning @ Harties Hennies. Our waiter’s name was Chivas; as in Regal; great service, very friendly and welcoming. Hennies is going to become one of the gems for relaxing, having an outing, and having just a great SA experience. There was a “BOKSIE” who tried to cause a probleempie, but the WAGHOND sorted him like an accountant sorts accounting shit with a degree behind their name. The service was excellent! We felt like Rene’s only customers in a full restaurant. She attended to our every need and we never waited for anything. She was super friendly throughout the evening. I would definitely recommend going to Hennie’s Hartbeespoort, and ask for RENE!!!!

I love the Hennies at Rustenburg. What an experience, the food a perfectly made, the staff is friendly and active and friendly. I definitely would give 10 stars if I could. I recommend anyone to go eat there.Maybe you guys can come show Hennies in Harties chef what fresh food looks like, I highly doubts there is any kitchen Manger that looks at the food that comes out, when you ask harties Hennies for a medium to rare wors you get it well done so many times and the pap is so stiff. An excellent experience. Were lucky to get seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was well priced and portions generous. Atmosphere was excellent. Overall just a well managed and well oiled machine!
We came for a quick midweek break to Hartbeespoortdam, and after searching a few places on Maps, found Hennie’s1. The venue is very nice, open, and has enough seatings. The outside area is misted with small mist sprayers.2. The service was great, and Letty was super in her help and assistance in making informed decisions from the menu.3. Without us knowing, she told us about the Wednesday cocktail and pizza 🍕 specials.We also, after having chicken livers and halloumi, were told about that we could buy the sauce and Worcester Sout, and so we did 😉 thus also great in sales.4. The food was great and big portions, i had the dagwood and my wife, the chedda smelt burger 🍔Guys, you can definitely try this restaurant 😋
Fletcher was our waiter today. He was absolutely amazing and one of the best waiters I have had before.This Hennies has a great atmosphere and a great kiddies corner.
It’s a great place and all. Good food, good drinks and everything. The only issue I had was the “service fee”. It adds confusion because you don’t know if you need to pay the wait staff a tip. After some brief discussion with mine, I realized I have to tip him above the service fee.A humble recommendation for a 5 star is to do away with the forced service fee and come up with an internal policy for tipping the barmen and chefs etc…
Hennies Harties is a gem! The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. The location is perfect, and the establishment is spotless, which really added to the experience. And the food? Absolutely amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked, and the onion rings were a delicious treat. We will definitely be returning for more.Highly recommended!
What an amazing experience!We stopped for a quick lunch and was blown away by an exceptionally friendly and beautiful manager named Alice. Then our experience was made perfect by our lovely waiter, Sarah, the food was excellent as well!This place has set the bar so high for us that we would gladly drive to Harties for a lunch at Hennies.

The food was just fantastic as well as the chocolate pizza, people stared as the waiter brought our chocolate pizza to our table! Each month our date night is at Hennies and we just love it there and PS thank you for your secret code at the back of the bathroom door I have never seen something that like that thanks!

We received good service at Hennies and I really enjoyed the nachos. They have a nice play area for the kids, and there were plenty of families enjoying it. The music inside was a bit loud for my taste, but overall, I can’t complain too much.
Hennie’s are a wonderful and welcome relatively new restaurant-pub in Hartbeespoort. It’s well situated, with a good layout, friendly people, almost always a little buzz going on and decent food options and very tasty pizzas. There’s a well thought-out perfectly positioned kiddies play section that is very practical for monitoring your kids while winding down. It’s safe and also has a child minder on standby inside at all times.This is a very nice venue with great atmosphere and people..! I give them a high overall rating of 4.6 out of 5
Really nice atmosphere, great service, but our “Blaf sap” drink was a bit on the weaker side and had almost no alcohol in it. I love the Hennies franchise and I would never lie about my ratings, especially this place.
Orderded x2 pizza’s on 8 July 2024 and what I found was disgusting really….My son has food poisoning because of rotten pieces of pizza served in n take away. I find it very unprofessional to say the least.Many of our friends and family have also complained about food and service at this establishment. I have tried contacting management privately all day yesterday and today with absolutely no response at all. So they leave me no other choice but to go public with this disgusting service and food. We were served our first drinks and nobody attended us again after that. I have videos to prove the rotten pizza that we were given. I rate this place 0/10. They will not be seeing us again!!

I like to support Hienies. Today It was the worst service I get at Hennies in Harties. The waiter take us to the seat and left us . We wait for 10min still no service. The waiters stand around at chat with the management. I stand up go to the manager and told him. The service is very poor. I hope head office will sort this one.

I absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, friendly professional staff from the moment of the meet and seat all the way through our meal to a lovely greeting by several staff when we left. Awesome specials week days and lunch times. We had half price Pizza. The best pizza in Harties in my humble opinion. Try the “Varkhond” with a health serving of pulled pork or another one with Danish feta and beautiful avo both delicious. Not all pizza are half price but the selection that is will cater for most tastes. Same applies for the cocktails, not all on specials but a wonderful selection and the barman knows exactly what his doing masterful cocktails. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Everything was just lekker. I have been to many of Hennie’s restaurants. This one was for sure one of the better ones. We enjoyed the food & the atmosphere. The play area could use some work. But overall, it was all good.

I liked the fun atmosphere initiated by the house rules! The waiters were client friendly like I’ve never seen before. My visit was part of a cycling group ride and the manager immediately realised that we need a special arrangement for save keeping of our bicycles. They accomodate us in this regard even before we could ask for it! Well done to the manager and staff! See you again!
Great atmosphere; engaging and pleasant overall.There was nothing we did not enjoy regarding the food. We shared a few dishes, so this is a general compliment.However, it is always the service that distinguishes one restaurant/pub/eatery of any kind and that is the person who welcomes, suggests, is honest, patient, and authentic. I have always rated this place ,tops! But this time around ,I ordered whisky and a mixer to share with my wife. I thought it was strange because we were getting doubles to share!?🤔 , the waitress was giving us doubles!!! When the bill came I was shocked ! So all I can say is query your booze order if you think there is a discrepancy!! Because instead of getting a bill for 3 for R750 , you land up paying R1200. Otherwise all great!!

We partook in a luncheon where the cuisine was splendid however, the attendants seemed somewhat deficient in swiftly processing our orders. Upon placing our order, there was a noticeable delay in the arrival of our beverages. The protocols and guidelines were not thoroughly elucidated, yet we adeptly adapted finding this approach commendable and refreshingly distinctive. The ambiance met our expectations, and despite the minor setback of sluggish waiter responsiveness, we intend to revisit as it was a trivial concern.
First time visiting. Just a quick bite with my 6 year old son. Very happy.The play area is nice, and there are sitters to watch over kids.Food was reasonably priced and very very good. Had a nice desert to share with my son. A Nutella and oreo pizza with ice cream for R45. Amazing.

What a disaster. NOT a pleasant experience. Waited 2hr’s for cold, cold food. Manager received comments as water of a duck’ back. Seems that bigger groups are more important than the std 4 person group. Seen how different groups of 10 -12 that arrived after us finish their meals before we even recieved ours. Please learn from Krugersdorp how it’s done. All above not to brake rule#1. Definitely not what was expected.
Terrible service first they had no cheese sauce then when asked about drink specials which the waiter Nico said they had, when the bill came we were charged double per drink. And his excuse oh well he thought it was a special. Please train your waiters properly.
The food was tasty and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place could be described as a bar or beer hall that is also a restaurant. Don’t come here if you are expecting a quiet and romantic evening! The music is quite loud but not excessive unless there is a live band. Be warned, there are some house rules that include not drinking with your right hand – a member of staff who has a whistle may notice you and you may be asked to drink the rest of your beer. Quite a lot of fun if that’s what you like.
We were advised that food would take 1.5 Hours as they are very busy. Had to go and order our own drinks as well. Employ more staff to service customers as this could be your only downfall. Can’t say anything about the food as we didn’t eat. Nice play area and restaurant layout as well as entertainment, but that’s about it….
We had a great time on a busy Wednesday evening. Our waiter was Allister who delivered excellent service, keeping us up to date on delays and ensuring we received our food as soon as possible. The kitchen was flexible and adjusted menu items to suit dietary requirements, with delicious food brought out. The atmosphere is lively with something for everyone. Will definitely return.

It was my 1st time to visit Hennie’s in Harties. They did not stock my beer (Milk Stout) Duty managers, Judith and Vic went out of their way to get me my drink of choice. If that’s not service, then I don’t know. I would really recommend Hennie’s @Harties. It’s very family friendly and staff are on top of their game. Thanks guys, will see you later.
Food is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is amazing, staff just needs to be trained CORRECTLY. In the 2 hours me and my husband were there, waiters kept coming out with food and had absolutely no idea for whom it is or to what table it belongs to… Management also needs training, they don’t go to people asking if everything is ok. The lady that works at the door needs to be replaced, not trained, REPLACED! If the restaurant is full, she tells the clients that there are currently no tables available and they can go to fishermen’s or fork and knife… Who tells clients to go to another place?!
Absolutely amazing. My husband and I visited this establishment during our weekend at hartbeesport,my goodness,we couldn’t stop saying good things about this place. From our waiter Leo who was amazing,attentive and just a pleasure. To the manager Brandon who stopped to chat to us so many times, a real feel good pub and the friendly patrons as well. Food amazing and reasonable priced. We had the wings and sliders which we definitely recommend. We don’t have a single bad thing to say about this place. Keep up the amazing service guys.

We have been here twice and they sent us away both times.The first time because they were full which i could understand but today Monday 21 Aug we went at 10 pm because there website said they close at 11 pm and they said they were closed aftar 1 waiter asked table for 5 the others said were closed. Very terrible service. I would not recommend going.
Great vibe, delicious food and excellent customer service. The Pups corner was exceptional and well organized. They had lovely childminders so Mom & Dad had the opportunity to sit back and relax. Stunning layout, cleanliness and quality merchandise. Safe parking available. Awesome spot to enjoy sporting events, have a jol, and enjoy quality family time.
